WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually high. Must be GMP compliant with gowning and proper attire/uniforms (i.e., head/shoe/beard covers and eye protection) where required. May be required to wear ear plugs. Ambient temperature can be as high as 110 degrees during summer months.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; bend; crouch; reach; kneel, crawl, use hands & fingers; talk and hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 12 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

- Review production orders - measure the gauge and the width
- Check hardness and formability if required
- Enter date into computer system
- Perform Quality checks

Pay rate:
up to $22/hr, based on exp. Job Responsibility:Operate the steel slitter effectively and efficiently while keeping the safety of yourself and fellow employees a priority.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to read a tape measure and know decimal to inch conversion.
- Must have general computer knowledge.
- Must be able to work well and communicate well with others.
- Must use great attention to detail during manufacturing be familiar with requirements of quality management system.
- Must have experience with steel defects and handling, storing of steel coils.
- Must have experience as assistant operator or operator for slitter, cut-to-length shearing machine or steel coil slear equipment.
- Operator acts as Team Leader for his/her shift’s operation.

As Team Leader making sure that your team does the following, but not limited to:
- Keeping area clean and free from safety hazards.
- Measurement tools are verified daily.
- Scrap, trash, etc. is disposed of in proper containers.
- Signing off work instructions is done and up to date.
- Operational audits as assigned.
- Reviewing work orders and ensuring all requirements are met.
- Verifying all details (correct information, correct material, correct size, customer specifications).
- Monitoring material while running a job.
- Taking pictures and downloading into system during a job
Hours:
5am start, 8-10hrs available per day, Mon- Sat.
