What you will do:
Arterial imaging
Venous Imaging
Carotid Imaging
Questions regarding exams checked with tech II prior to patient leaving department
Transcranial Imaging
Record preliminary report on all in patients in EPIC.
Positive venous results on in-patients are phoned to nurse, intern or referring physician
All out patient venous preliminaries are phoned to ordering physicians
Assists patients family as needed
Monitors patients pain level during vascular testing ; consults with Vascualr Tech II, inpatient's nurse, or physician if needed
Side rails up following exam

What you will need:
Education: Graduate from an accredited ultrasound/vascular tech program.
Certification: Will need to take RVT within 2 years of employment.
Experience: Some medical terminology required. Also, should have knowledge of basic ultrasound physics. Good communication skills and knowledge of computers recommended.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Project management instructor should be PMI-certified in all facets of the field, have 2 to 3 years of experience in managing projects in either the private, public, or not-for-profit sectors.
Applicants should be graduates of an accredited four-year college or university with either a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

A Brief Overview:
The RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist (CNPS) is an expert clinician with advanced education and training. Under the direction of a Staff Radiologist, performs Mammography examinations at a level of optimum technical quality for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating patients, in accordance with departmental standards, policies, and procedures.
Performs a variety of technical and clerical duties that will require independent judgement, ingenuity, and initiative to apply Mammography procedures.
Maintains a high standard of quality care and adheres to the ACR guidelines while obtaining imaging.
Ensures patient safety during examination.
Explains procedures with tactful manners when there is a need for additional imaging.
Perform specialized exams under the direction of the staff radiologist

Education: High School degree or equivalent
Certification: CPR certification required. ARRT required.
Licenses: IEMA
Experience: Mammography experience preferred
Skills: Proficiency with word processing and computer skills required; typing 25-35 wpm.
