The Manager, Stewardship at Smile Train, will lead strategic donor engagement initiatives to strengthen relationships and drive long-term philanthropic support. This role is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive stewardship strategies across all giving levels, creating impactful donor communications, and managing bi-annual impact reporting. The Manager will collaborate closely with Development, Communications, and Program teams to deliver personalized donor experiences, oversee data integrity in Salesforce, and analyze performance metrics to inform future strategies. This full-time, hybrid position based in New York City (in office 2x per week) requires strong project management skills, CRM proficiency, and a deep understanding of the donor lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
As the Stewardship Manager, you will serve as a strategic partner across the Development team, leading donor engagement initiatives that support Smile Trains work and revenue goals. You will be responsible for designing and executing stewardship strategies that align with the donor lifecycle and enhance retention across all giving levels and revenue streamsincluding Major Gifts, Mid-Level Giving, Planned Giving, and Corporate & Foundation partnerships.

Event Support & Donor Experiences

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Role Summary:

Set up vendor payments using ACH and wire transfer tools.

Analyze and explain financial trends and variances when necessary.

Role Summary
The Data Architect designs and governs Smile Trains enterprise data architecture and data platform to ensure data is trusted, well-modeled, secure, and ready for analytics and AI. This role supports Smile Train Express (STX), our patient health records platform, by defining canonical models, integration patterns, and semantic layers that enable consistent reporting, self-service analytics, and responsible AI use cases.
Key contributor to Smile Trains Data & AI future-state architecture, including ELT-first ingestion, tiered Lakehouse storage, governance/security by design, and governed BI/semantic consumption.
Accountability (What Youll Be Accountable For)
A clear, adopted target-state enterprise data architecture aligned to Smile Trains Data & AI roadmap and the future state architecture design.
Canonical enterprise data models and shared definitions (business glossary) for core entities, metrics, reference data, and STX-aligned domains.
A governed, secure, and compliant data foundation (role-based access policies, encryption/masking, retention, auditability).
Operationalized metadata, lineage, and documentation so data is discoverable, understandable, and reusable across teams.
Measurable improvements in data quality (accuracy, completeness, timeliness) through defined rules, monitoring, and root-cause remediation.
Durable integration patterns and data contracts between STX and enterprise systems that reduce duplication and support a single source of truth.
Reference architectures and reusable patterns that accelerate delivery and reduce technical debt across the data platform lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Design
Design end-to-end enterprise data architecture spanning ingestion, storage, processing, semantic layer, and consumption to support analytics and AI.
Translate business requirements into conceptual, logical, and physical data models; define conformed dimensions and subject-area data products.
Define canonical models and interoperability patterns that connect STX and other enterprise systems and enable cross-department reporting.
Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture principles, roadmaps, and the Data & AI future state architecture (automation-first, tiered storage, governed access).
Standards, Governance & Quality
Establish and maintain data modeling, naming, and metadata standards; partner with governance stakeholders to implement catalog, glossary, lineage, and data quality rules.
Define and enforce security, privacy, and access control standards (PII/PHI handling, masking, encryption, role-based policies).
Create and maintain methods to track data quality, completeness, redundancy, and improvement; support remediation planning and execution.

Delivery & Technical Leadership
Provide architectural guidance to engineers on ELT/ETL pipelines, performance optimization, and scalable patterns for batch and (as-needed) streaming.
Create reference architectures and reusable templates (ingestion patterns, lakehouse/medallion patterns, semantic layer conventions, data product blueprints).
Conduct design and architecture reviews; help troubleshoot complex data issues and performance bottlenecks.
Partner with product and program leaders to prioritize technical debt, refactoring, and platform enhancements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Partner with stakeholders across Programs, Fundraising, Finance, Technology, and Operations to understand information needs and critical KPIs.
Communicate architectural concepts in clear, business-friendly language and drive adoption of standards and shared definitions.
Collaborate with vendors and implementation partners to select and implement tools and services that meet Smile Train goals.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain current and accurate documentation of enterprise data models, data flows, lineage, and data contracts.
Evaluate tools and modern practices that improve scalability and speed (e.g., semantic layer enablement, metadata-driven frameworks, domain data products).
Identify opportunities for data reuse, migration, consolidation, and retirement of legacy processes.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, BI, or data architecture, with 3+ years in a lead/architect role (preferred).
Proven expertise in data modeling (3NF, dimensional/star schema, semantic models; Data Vault a plus).

The Role
The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining Smile Train's hybrid infrastructure environment, including on-premises systems and cloud services. You will work closely with end users, technical and data teams, and business owners to ensure that infrastructure and core systems reliably support Smile Train's Patient Management System, web platforms, data teams, and CRM systems. Role Summary
Smile Train seeks an Associate, Education & Training. [Reporting to the Manager, Research and Education,] the Associate will play a key role in Smile Train's efforts to ensure every child has access to safe, high-quality, comprehensive cleft care. This role has a significant technical and data-focused component, supporting global education and training (E&T) initiatives through structured data collection systems, assessment analytics, and ongoing development and maintenance of training content across 75+ countries. This full-time, hybrid role requires a commitment to working from Smile Train's New York City based headquarters twice weekly.
Key Responsibilities
Organizational E&T Data Collection (Technical & Analytical)
Coordinate the pre- and post-training assessment processes, ensuring consistent data collection across all training types and all regional teams
Monitor data quality using standardized checks, flag data anomalies, and work with regional teams to improve adherence to data collection protocols
Analyze training assessment results, including knowledge gains, outcomes trends, and longitudinal performance across countries, training types, and learner groups
Support systematic housing, organization, and governance of trainee and training impact data, including LMS-based or digital platform-based repositories used across 75+ countries
Compile internal and external reporting on training implementation, participation, and impact
Support tracking and data management for fellowship programs globally, including monitoring fellow progress, documentation compliance, and post-program placement outcomes
Global E&T Conference Presence
Oversee logistics and administration for Smile Train's conference involvement, including partner logistics and stipends, partner abstract support, awareness/booth presence, promotional/branding materials, Smile Train-led events, follow-up surveys, staff attendance, and shipping needs
Create and distribute reference and informational materials for staff and partners during conferences to maximize engagement and communication
Support post-conference data analysis and development of final reports for dissemination across departments
Global E&T Initiatives & Partnerships
Provide logistical, communications, and documentation support for global fellowship programs and partnerships (e.g., ACPA Visiting Scholar Program, WFSA Fellowships, Chang Gung Fellowship)
Assist with planning and execution of international mentorship programs (i.e., Mentoring Alliance for Global Cleft Surgery (MAG-CS)), including participant recruitment, onboarding, technical support, progress tracking, and impact data management
Support development, implementation, and technical maintenance of global E&T initiatives such as webinar series, digital educational resources, patient-facing materials, and continuing education opportunities
Support the Communications and Development departments in showcasing key E&T initiatives and projects to Smile Train stakeholders through annual reports, social media, and other strategic channels.
Training Curriculum Maintenance & Improvement
Lead updates to existing Smile Train training curricula (translations, branding updates, content revisions, technical enhancements)
Incorporate learner feedback, performance data, and trainer insights into continuous curriculum improvement
Serve as primary liaison with translation service providers, ensuring timely processing, coordinated review workflows, and ongoing quality assurance
Support content implementation within the organization's learning management system (LMS) or similar platforms, including uploading, version control, course configuration, and user management
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare/health professions, data analytics, education, instructional design, or a related field
Demonstrated experience analyzing datasets (Excel, Power BI, or similar) and summarizing insights for decision-making

Key contributor to Smile Train's Data & AI future-state architecture, including ELT-first ingestion, tiered Lakehouse storage, governance/security by design, and governed BI/semantic consumption.

The Role
The Systems Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining Smile Trains hybrid infrastructure environment, including on-premises systems and cloud services. Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Market Intelligence
* Lead business development strategy aligned to organizational goals and market trends across global multi-platform content distribution.
* Monitor emerging trends in children's media, distribution, FAST/AVOD, and technology sectors to proactively identify new opportunities and threats.
* Collaborate with the executive team to define and evolve the organization's go-to-market strategy across key platforms.
* Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and partnership innovations. Utilize/Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new business opportunities and inform new business strategy.
* Monitor partner performance and surface insights to inform strategic decisions and new initiatives
Partnership Development & Deal Execution
* Identify, evaluate, pitch and negotiate new partnerships and revenue-generating deals across media distribution, FAST channels, content licensing, rights deals, interactive content, edtech, AI, licensing, co-productions, and distribution platforms.
* Build relationships with key partners including streaming platforms, digital distributors, gaming studios, edtech and AI companies.
* Work alongside Business Affairs to construct media rights frameworks, working cross-functionally with legal, finance, product, production and content teams. Negotiate agreement terms and manage execution timelines.
* Own and manage key partner relationships, serving as a primary point of contact and advocate throughout the partnership lifecycle.
* Leverage your knowledge of industry verticals and relationships with key players to support deals across new technologies and platforms
Execution & Revenue Delivery
* Drive execution from signed deal to launch, ensuring high-quality implementation, partner satisfaction, and alignment with brand and educational values.
* Track performance of strategic deals, optimizing revenue contribution, audience reach, brand value, and learning impact.
* Own business forecasts and dashboards related to partnership revenue and performance metrics.
Team Collaboration & Representation
* Collaborate closely with departments throughout the organization, including revenue, production, product, education, research, marketing, and philanthropy teams to ensure partnerships enhance mission and organizational priorities.
* Represent the organization externally at industry events, conferences, and partner meetings to position the brand as a leading voice in children's educational media.
Qualifications
Must haves include:
* 12+ years of experience in business development, media distribution, content licensing, partnerships, within media, entertainment, gaming, or consumer products.
* Deep expertise in media distribution models, media rights construction, and multi-platform monetization (SVOD, AVOD, FAST, broadcast, digital)
* Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally to bring complex deals from idea to execution.
* Strong understanding of children's media, educational IP, or mission-based brand management.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort navigating ambiguity and leading through influence.
* Strong analytical and financial modeling skills to assess deals, partnership value and strategic fit

The Manager, Stewardship at Smile Train, will lead strategic donor engagement initiatives to strengthen relationships and drive long-term philanthropic support. This role is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive stewardship strategies across all giving levels, creating impactful donor communications, and managing bi-annual impact reporting. The Manager will collaborate closely with Development, Communications, and Program teams to deliver personalized donor experiences, oversee data integrity in Salesforce, and analyze performance metrics to inform future strategies. This full-time, hybrid position based in New York City (in office 2x per week) requires strong project management skills, CRM proficiency, and a deep understanding of the donor lifecycle.
Summary/Objective: We are looking for someone who brings:

Responsibilities
