1920

It all began in 1920 when Ben Smith began peddling milk to his neighbors for some extra cash.

1930

1 / 24 A new barn and milk plant were constructed in 1930 after a fire.

2 / 24 The original Smith Brothers Farms dairy plant in Kent, circa 1930.

1948

1963

12 / 24 Ben and Agnes Smith and all their grandchildren; picture taken in 1963 in their home on West Valley Highway.

2001

In 2001, their herd eventually outgrew the pastures in Kent and Snohomish and were moved to Grant County in Eastern Washington.

2006

Due to federal regulations in 2006, Smith Brothers Farms sold their cows and farm in Royal City.

2013

In August 2013, the dairy moved from their original location of 93 years on West Valley Highway to their current headquarters and milk-processing facility in Kent, Washington.
