The senior leadership truly has the best interest of the employees in mind and are very transparent. Feels like everyone is there to support each other and help the organization grow.
No real cons. I love the team I work with and the individuals in this organization.
The flexibility and trust that leadership provides. I have 2 young children and the ability to be involved in their lives and still get my work done is more than I can ask for. The flexibility this company offers makes a huge difference in my personal life.
They are transparent and always eager to help find solutions to issues across the organization.
I would say not a whole lot I would change about the organization.
I did my research on the firm and hiring team. Understood what the role requirements were and prepped myself with project examples. The team was easy going and very down to Earth. It was more of a conversation than an interview.
I am extremely satisfied with the salary and feel appropriately compensated for my position.
For a small firm I am glad to say we have a good mix of demographics.
The comradery and relationships with my team.
Autonomy, flexibility, high earnings, positive work environment.
401k contribution.
Down to earth and hands-off.
Preparing my resume.
Growing the number of employees.
Above industry average.
Fairly diverse company culture.
The variety of my days.
I love work at Smith Hanley Associates because of the entrepreneurial environment. How well you're doing depends on the effort you put in so we are surrounded bu hard working, driven people all the time.
The cons are that the economy has a massive effect on our businesses, being an external resource for our clients. When marketing budgets are tight, we feel it.
My favorite perk is being brought out to HQ for a lovely summer event! Baseball game, spa, concert - our managing partners spare no expense to have some fun together when we have a lot of remote staff.
Our Managing Partners are pretty hands off when it comes to running our individual businesses - we can always lean on them as needed but they don't micro manage.
I think a collaborated marketing effort could go a long way. If there was more in the budget for overall company marketing and building out new functions, it could go a long way.
I was prepared to discuss my understanding of the particular practice area I would be moving into. I also was prepared to discuss full-desk recruiting and my abilities managing client relationships.
From my knowledge, our commission rate is mid to high compared to other firms.
I think our organization could take more positive steps in celebrating and representing diverse demographics within our organization.
My team. I love the people I work with everyday and the flexibility we have with our families, weddings, etc. as long as we are still working hard.
