In this role, you'll develop partnerships with clinical teams, skin and pressure injury prevention teams, and quality departments. You'll leverage LEAF's suite of reports to deliver actionable insights, identify workflow enhancements, and support Quarterly Business Reviews with customer-level data that reinforces ROI. You'll also identify opportunities to integrate LEAF into electronic health records (EHRs) and other healthcare technologies.
Beyond support, you'll help grow the business by identifying expansion opportunities within current accounts and qualifying new leads based on clinical insights and networking. You'll contribute to strategic account planning with detailed feedback on user behavior, trends, and customer insights.
What will you need to be successful?
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong clinical foundation-ideally as a Registered Nurse-and a bachelor's degree is preferred. You should have at least three years of clinical experience, with prior exposure to clinical technology platforms being highly desirable. A solid understanding of hospital turning and repositioning protocols will help you support workflow integration and drive utilization of the LEAF platform.
Your ability to analyze data and extract actionable insights will be key, so strong data analytics skills are essential. The Key Account Executive (KAE) will be responsible for contracting and account management activities driven through Corporate Supply Chain relationships within named IDNs in a defined region. The **Orthopedics** Portfolio includes these Stryker Business Units - Joint Replacement, Trauma & Lower Extremities, Upper Extremities, Foot & Ankle, MAKO and Sports Medicine.
As the primary point of contact to Supply Chain for the specified Stryker portfolio, the KAE will use established relationship building, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills to simplify and accelerate the buying process across single and often multiple divisions. Responsibilities in this customer-facing role range from pricing proposal creation, consultative selling, business-to-business negotiations, contract execution, contracting implementations and agreement optimization. The KAE will work closely with their Stryker Portfolio teammates to share strategies, execute business reviews, contract within and across portfolios, protect price and grow Stryker share.
The KAE will have ability to develop relationships with emerging and influential decision-makers including contract managers, supply chain directors and key clinicians, and facilitate communication to help coordinate internal sales activity. Experience in the application of data analytics to identify market share opportunities/price impact as well as familiarity in operating room process and operational workflow will also aid in the creation of Stryker value-added proposals. Through these activities, the KAE will seek to enhance the customer experience and position Stryker as a leading partner to the health system. Success will be defined through clear metrics (inside their Region, Portfolio and Stryker Business Units), along with the longer-term growth related to heightened access and profitable sales growth. Portfolio teams will seek to use their team power to use contracting as a differentiated offense to help Stryker win bigger and faster and take share from our competitors.
**Essential duties & responsibilities:**
**Account Management**
+ Maintain routine communication with divisional sales forces to gather and share information as part of their IDN account management and contracting strategies.
+ Re-enforce established relationships with all pertinent Supply Chain personnel, including leads of contracting, value analysis, and other key decision makers. Build supply chain allies that ensure Stryker gets the last look in all desired contracting activities.
+ Maintain an ongoing dialog with the customer to listen, understand, and bring the best of Stryker to improve patient outcomes and streamline the buying process.
+ Monitor all product conversion opportunities, apply analytics and report regularly on progress both internally and externally.
+ Identify and help coordinate new opportunities with Supply Chain and sales to build new business and protect existing business through coordinated sales efforts, improved agreements, and contract compliance.

+ Meet IDN objectives concerning orders growth and preferred vendor agreements and other performance metrics.

+ Develop comprehensive annual account reports, IDN opportunity roadmaps, and collaborate with sales to ensure alignment with BU strategy and objectives, MedSurg/Orthopedics/NT goals.
+ Work with Supply Chain to assist sales in accelerating the sales process and removing obstacles, identify opportunities, and drive long-term customer loyalty.
+ Follow the established SYK Legal Contracting process during agreement creation and execution.

**Contract Implementation**

+ Collaborate with Contract Enablement and other internal and external departments including Legal, National Accounts, and Strategic Sales to optimize contract execution.
+ Maintain and grow knowledge base of capital equipment, disposable products, Flex Financial and ProCare service agreements, as well as associated GPO/contract position for each business unit.
**Problem Resolution**
+ Identify overarching issues and supply chain concerns across member IDN facilities and assist in resolution with local sales teams and Contract Enablement.

This role is accountable for determining and delivering automation solutions to an approved budget and schedule commitments while meeting required GMP and Part 11 standards, thus will be required to follow an established project plan structure and lead/contribute to delivering on-budget, on-time, along with the capability to receive FDA and Health Canada Approvals.
Job requirements for equipment will include, but not limited to: URS development, FAT execution, installation support, commissioning / validation, SOP development, Preventive Maintenance job plan development, production support, and efficiency improvement initiatives.
This role will require the incumbent to lead investigator for authoring change control documentation, authoring / supporting deviations / manufacturing non-conformances and CAPAs, and authoring risk assessments.
What will you be doing?
Function as an Automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) to equipment or systems regarding troubleshooting operations and/or changes to improve efficiency. Required to be actively involved in daily operations when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems. Routinely audit the operational performance and regulatory compliance of a moderate number of equipment items or systems of significant complexity. Work with multiple departments in developing requirements and recommendations for system modifications. Guiding and mentoring junior team members on automation best practices and methodologies.
Technical translation and execution of all validation requirements for new and/or modified manufacturing, and utilities equipment/systems, ensuring equipment and utility systems are available for GMP Manufacturing, in a state of compliance, and reliably performing to their validated function. Active participation of Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Commissioning of new equipment, IQ/OQ/PQ, Validation Summary Reports, Part 11 Compliance, etc, as required for Manufacturing, Utilities, and Computerized systems.
Develop and lead one or more projects, ensuring technical alignment with the commercial and marketing strategy for the project and managing the project and project team to key milestones and targets. Drives the development and operational delivery of the project plan in accordance with Project Management best practices, Smith+Nephew SOPs and Guidance Documents, and the product profile. Manages Project risks, budget, schedule variance, and change management for the project. Reports to executive management as appropriate. Completes capital requests and purchase orders as needed to support projects.
Generate any associated quality documentation requirements such as SOPs, Change Controls, URS, Room Specification, Validation protocols, Job Plan instructions, Non-Conformances, and CAPAs. Will also perform Risk Assessments and/or Gap assessments for equipment, process, method, and/or facility tech transfers.

Bachelor's degree required in engineering or related field
Certifications:
EIT/PE License preferred.
Lean/Six Sigma certification highly desired.
PMP certification a plus
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech environment or a minimum of 1 year within the Automation Engineer 1 role with consistent performance.
Strong working knowledge and experience of PLC's, HMI's, and SCADA systems.
