Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin & Upper Michigan is seeking a compassionate and resourceful HUD Service Coordinator to support residents at Jenor Towers located at 75 N. Oak Street in Platteville, WI.
This role is designed to promote independence and self-sufficiency for individuals residing in HUD-supported housing. You'll connect tenants with vital community services, organize educational and recreational programming, and help residents maintain their independence for as long as possible. 🌟

POSITION SUMMARY
World Relief is hiring a Director of Government Relations who will be responsible for representing World Relief's public policy priorities, including our U.S. refugee/asylum/immigration‑based priorities as well as U.S. policies of concern to our international programs, with governmental leaders in Washington, D.C.
Candidate will work remotely from the Washington, D.C. area.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
This person will serve as World Relief's lead D.C.-based representative on public policy concerns, helping to both shape and represent World Relief's positions on governmental policies that impact those vulnerable to great crises around our world, including refugees, internally displaced people, asylum seekers and other immigrants both in the United States and globally.
The person will work closely with World Relief's Vice President for Policy and Advocacy to represent World Relief with governmental leaders, church leaders, and the media and will supervise at least one additional government‑relations‑focused colleague.
They should have or be willing to acquire expertise on policy issues related to refugee resettlement and foreign assistance programs, in particular, but will also represent World Relief on a broader range of issues.
Specific responsibilities include:
Build and sustain relationships with leaders in Congress, the White House and others in the administration and their staffs, representing World Relief's policy positions in a biblically‑guided, non‑partisan way
Serve as the primary lead on shaping and crafting World Relief's policy positions and advocacy campaigns related to refugee resettlement and immigration, including representing World Relief within various advocacy coalitions
Supervise a staff colleague focused on governmental policy issues impacting World Relief's international programs, currently operating in various countries within Africa as well as in Haiti, Ukraine and beyond
Play a support role in pursuing and responding to media and public relations opportunities
Write and speak on policy issues of expertise, including for audiences that include governmental leaders and church leaders and members
Work with World Relief's U.S. and international programs and advancement divisions to ensure close coordination across different divisions of the organization on advocacy priorities and public messaging and events
Support World Relief staff in the United States and around the world on outreach and relationship building with their elected officials and the media
Help train staff on advocacy priorities, including through webinars and occasional office visits
Help write newsletters and reports documenting World Relief advocacy activities

The Neuro/ Pulmonary Stroke Unit:
The most common pulmonary diagnoses we see are COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia. Our pulmonary patients may be on high flow oxygen, BiPAP, or have tracheostomies or chest tubes. These patients require complex assessment, aggressive therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance.
We work closely with the Stroke Coordinator to care for Acute Stroke and TIA patients. We do utilize tele-neuro services at times. Neuro patients require frequent assessments to assess for subtle changes in condition. Stroke education is provided.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
Experience: If no previous experience, Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the state of practice Department of Health and Senior Services requirements. The program will be completed as part of the new hire orientation process and must be completed within 90 days of hire to remain in the PCT position per state guidelines.
Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
Other: Minimum Physical Requirements- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

We are also known as the Progressive Care Unit or PCU. Our unit is an intermediate unit that is a step down from our intensive care but a step above med/surg as far as patient acuity
Cardiac, Respiratory distress, Septic.
No vents. - Mainly serve cardiac patients, also acute respiratory (no vents/but high flow ) 02 needs/new bipap, etc. then mix of any other disease process in which the physicians determine patient is too sick for floor; but not yet ICU level of care.
Fast paced unit combining aspects of ED and ICU into one department--busyness of ED & critical care aspect of ICU.
Requires and builds strong assessment skills and teamwork
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., CNA/CPCT or enrolled in a healthcare career program through their high school curriculum, and/or a current co-worker of Mercy.
Experience: If no previous experience, Mercy will provide a required 175-hour training program that meets the state of practice Department of Health and Senior Services requirements. The program will be completed as part of the new hire orientation process and must be completed within 90 days of hire to remain in the PCT position per state guidelines.
Certifications: BLS Required within one month of hire, completion of PCT competencies within 3 months of hire.
Other: Minimum Physical Requirements- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.

The Position

The Position

The Public Safety Representative is responsible for maintaining public safety and security for Adler Planetarium staff, visitors, the building, and the grounds. The position ensures the safety of Adler staff and visitors through an on-foot patrol of a 155,500-square-foot building while providing outstanding customer service. The Person
The best candidate to meet the requirements for this position will be experienced within public safety and security management, have good customer service skills, and work well within a diverse working environment.
