The Surgical Technologist performs various duties as a member of the surgical team to ensure a safe and successful operative procedure. This position functions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and directly reports to Surgical Services management. It is expected that the Surgical Technologist will support system wide and surgical operations initiatives and practices. In addition, this person will actively participate in the surgical operations safety plan as outlined.
Schedule and Shift
The position will work three-10 hour shifts per week, Monday-Friday, based on surgery volumes. No set days off. Flexibility in availability is expected for this position.
Essential Functions
The Surgical Technologist has accountability for ensuring the operating room and all surgical items meet sterilization criteria.

Installation of the pipe includes positioning, joining, and aligning the pipes at proper depths, angles, and grades.The pipelayer is essential in communicating with other team members regarding the excavating activities associated with installing the pipe, to ensure work is performed safely and efficiently.

**Goals** - Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into NGC.

We are seeking individuals to enter a highly rewarding career path in Nondestructive Testing. These positions within the Quality organization are responsible for critical inspections of aerospace assemblies. For this position, technicians are required to provide prior NDT experience documentation and certification that will meet NAS 410 current revision requirements. Technicians with prior NDT experience, including existing Level 2 certifications, will be trained to inspect product for NASA and other customers.
Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on components. Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.
+ The primary focus will be in the area of radiographic inspection (RT) of rocket motors using digital systems and Ultrasonic Testing inspection (UT) of metal and composite components. Personnel currently holding other Level 2 or 3 certifications are encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:
License: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice. Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
Experience: RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four (4) years of their hire date.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
Effective Communication Skills - Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required as of the job description's last update July 2025. Employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
One year of RN experience in Acute Care, Home Health, or Hospice settings
Experience in Wound Care, IV Therapy, or Medication Management

Physical Requirements:
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items. Often required to navigate crowded and busy rooms (full of equipment, power cords on the floor, etc.)
May be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
For roles requiring driving: Expected to drive a vehicle which requires sitting, seeing and reading signs, traffic signals, and other vehicles.
