By operating SMT's baseball tracking system (6th Tool), Operators help gather and refine data that will be used by baseball organizations across all levels of play. This opportunity requires an exceptional attention span to simultaneously monitor computer applications, follow the events of the game without becoming distracted and effectively communicate with other team members. What is Your Daily Impact at SMT? If you join our team as a Remote Baseball Operator, you will work from your home-office computer using remote login applications to connect to system computers. You will then be following the action of your assigned game and ensuring the accuracy of our data collection. Game shifts are typically 4-5 hours based on the length of the game. You will collaborate and relay any issues to our baseball operations team. Additional responsibilities include: Simultaneously monitoring four computer applications with exceptional attention to detail Following all events of the game without becoming distracted Completing ball trajectories and player paths for each pitch of the game Using critical thinking to quickly process feedback from the system, understand what is needed, and adjust in real time.
