The Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Finance & Hospital Operations functions as an on-site financial resource focusing on the fiscal responsibilities of the entity including, revenue growth and bottom line performance from the Hospital perspective. Coordinates with the on-site managers and directors in budget development by functioning in a lead capacity while complimenting the WellStar System Accounting and Finance departments, as well as Service Line leaders.
Responsible for reviewing monthly cost center performance against budget. Working with cost center management, provide reasonable, rational explanations for variances. Demonstrate an inquisitive nature by analyzing and investigating operational performance on a prospective, rather than reactive, basis. Assist Hospital Administration and department managers with implementing corrective actions for unapproved budget variances. Responsible for reviewing and assisting Corporate Accounting with the monthly closing of the general ledger for the entity.
Other fiscal responsibilities include the analysis and creation of business plans and pro formas for initiatives and endeavors taken by the hospital/entity. Partnering with cross-functional teams (Operations, Finance, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Product) to develop and implement portfolio and treatment strategies
Guiding analyst through design, development and deployment of machine learning models across customer treatment, valuation, loss mitigation, and AI-powered decisioning with a hands-on approach
Exploring and implementing opportunities using Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs) to modernize operations in partnership with Technology.
Communicating clear, actionable recommendations through dashboards, presentations, and storytelling to senior stakeholders
What you will need to succeed
This role is ideal for an innovative analytics leader ready to shape strategy, apply machine learning techniques, and make a visible impact in Servicing. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills in data analytics, modeling and AI with vast experience in portfolio performance. They are proven team leaders who can recruit, mentor, and develop talent, and they excel at turning insights into decisions that influence senior leadership. Success in this role requires comfort with fast-paced, ambiguous environments, very strong business acumen in collections and servicing, and expertise in data infrastructure, automation, and performance measurement. They should also be skilled in building complex models, explaining business metrics, and teaching others to do the same.
To be eligible
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field required; advanced degree (MS, MBA, etc.) strongly preferred
5+ years in analytics or strategy, including 2+ years leading teams.
Experience creating and maintaining data science algorithms in business environments and designing and analyzing statistical tests.
Deep working knowledge of Python, SQL, and cloud-based platforms (e.g., Azure); GitHub experience a plus

Position Purpose:

Autoclave process equipment/systems maintenance, including controls, Process Logic Controllers (PLC), combustion air blowers, pressure controls and conveyance systems.
Air pollution control devices, air cooled condensers, spray condensers, recirculating systems, and carbon beds.
Various Pumps and related components.
Hydraulic systems including hoses, valves, and cylinders.
pH control and chemical injection
Fire tube boiler and ancillary equipment, steam delivery systems, water softeners and other water treatment equipment, air handling equipment, commercial washers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems.
Electrical generator systems.
General air pneumatics, including air compressor, regulators, solenoid valves, 2-way and 3-way valve, tubing installation, pneumatic pumps and related systems.
General plumbing including but not limited to hard piping, CPVC/PVC, copper, black pipe
Performs light electrical maintenance on all plant equipment to include 480V/ 240V/ 120V/ 24V powers systems. PLC, robotics troubleshooting and 4 to 20 milliamp control loop systems.
Light to heavy fabrication, demonstrating proficient welding (arc/mig/tig); acetylene torch; plasma cutting; grinding cuttings skills.
Assists Facility/Maintenance Manager by performing general work or other assignments necessary to ensure a safe, clean, healthy, and efficient facility and vigorously support Stericycle's commitment to Safety.
Documents results through completed work orders or in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) based on schedule and priority or as required.
Performs other related duties as required or requested.
Stays current on all required safety training.
