    Responsible for the technical direction of a globally implemented Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). Acts as technical authority providing a Document Control system within an overall Information Management solution. Ensures that application improvements and development opportunities providing benefits to project execution are identified, defined and implemented. Responsibilities KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develops technical architecture, frameworks and strategies for a major application area, to meet the business and application requirements. Give technical guidance in relation to set-up requirements, configuration and customization of the technical application. Act as the highest point of in-house escalation for complex user issue problem diagnosis and resolution. Ensures the integration of all aspects of technology solutions. Monitors industry trends to ensure that solutions fit with company's direction. Responsible for review of Technical Applications software and hardware systems and data requirements as well as communications and response needs. Check and Review application documentation including procedures, process flows and instructions to support technical queries and workflow changes. Provide training, coaching and guidance to less experienced technical applications support staff. Continually Identify, pursue and implement improvements to the way the application(s) is configured and used. Acts as a specialist subject matter expert for a technical application. Defines and configures workshare environments. Represent the company at external conferences and user forums and stay abreast of development with application. EDMS APPLICATIONS Advise project teams on the implications of Document Control strategies and work processes on the setup, use and handover of project documentation. Responsible for the integrity and health of project doc bases including inconsistency management and running maintenance utilities. Supports document handover to the client. Oversee user management activities and regional office administrators. Develop security protocols ensuring secure access and confidentiality. Works with Document Control Functional Leads to facilitate document lifecycle management and corresponding metadata requirements. Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum ISCED Level 6 (Bachelors) or equivalent technical training in subject relevant to the application(s) supported eg drafting or engineering technology. Certified training or equivalent experience in one or more technical applications. 5 to 10 years in Electronic Document Management System administration. Experience with Idox's FusionLive EDMS preferred but not required. Knowledge, skills and experience: Several years' experience working in a project execution environment. Able to assess client and contractual requirements and translate these into a project-ready environment. Fully conversant with all aspects of application configuration and ongoing project support. Highly skilled in methods for integrating system components, performance tuning tools and techniques, systems diagnostics tools and fault identification techniques. Highly Skilled in methods and practices for troubleshooting, recovering, adjusting, modifying and improving Document Management systems, able to deal with the most complex of issues.
