What Does A Snowboard Instructor Do At Vail Resorts

* Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions.
* Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally.
* Ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary.
* Assisting guests to load and unload the chairlift.
* Clearly communicating instructions and helping guests.
* Provide a safe and fun learning environment through exceptional class handling and creativity using our teaching handbook as a guide.
* Supervising children in lessons at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardian.
* Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Ride programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source or lesson meeting place, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities.
* Attend morning meetings/be responsible for morning meeting information and assist with guest introductions.
* Teach skiing/snowboarding at all levels of difficulty based upon ability and experience.
* Understand and abide by the rules and procedures set forth in the Resource and Guidelines Manual.
* Must be able to discuss the lesson content and evaluate the progress of the lesson with the guest.
* Able to physically, clearly and accurately demonstrate assigned levels of Alpine skiing or Snowboarding models.
* Must have high level of guest service skills and experience.
* Assist with boot/equipment fitting, sales lobby greeting and other tasks assigned by Manager/Supervisors.

What Does A Snowboard Instructor Do At Windham Mountain Resort

* The list below best represents many of the tasks you will be asked to perform at some time during your employment at Windham Mountain Resort.
* This list of duties is not intended to represent all of the tasks you may be asked to perform, however Windham Mountain Resort will never require you to perform a task that is inherently unsafe or that you are not adequately trained to perform.
* Be present and ready to teach at all designated lesson times.
* Fulfill a season long teaching commitment.
* Accept teaching assignments without distinction as to desirability.
* Attend scheduled clinic sessions to improve skiing and teaching knowledge and ability.
* Other undefined duties may be required periodically.
* Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing a quality product and experience for our guests.
* Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holiday periods which you will be expected to work.
* You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods.
* We will attempt to offer consecutive days off and accommodate special scheduling request, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to satisfy all requests.
* We expect employees to arrive promptly.

* Name Tag must always be worn - no exceptions.
* Must be neat and clean - shower daily, nails clean: overall approachable appearance.
* Snow Sports Uniform (issued): Coat, Inner Insulator, and Pants - must wear at least one issued coat as the showing layer.

What Does A Snowboard Instructor Do At Copper Mountain Resort

* Can clearly and accurately instruct assigned snowboard levels to students in alignment with Lee Canyon and PSIA
* AASI teaching standards.
* Can assist with non-teaching guest service functions including but not limited to boot fitting, snow removal, snow fencing and on hill animation.
* Will attend all training sessions as assigned
* Have excellent guest service skills and be willing to work with guests of all ages from 3 years old to adult.
* Works well on a team.
* Must be fluent in all aspects of the English language (spoken & written).
