What Does A Snowboard Instructor Do At Omni Hotels

* Providing the best guest service based on Omni Service Standards.
* Must be a strong “blue level” skier or rider based on the Bretton Woods ability levels.
* Report to Ski School Line–up area at scheduled times.
* Be prepared for any lesson that Base Area supervisor assigns.
* Participate in training that is provided by Ski School trainers.
* Be proficient and current to teach all levels that you are qualified for based on PSIA/AASI standards.
* Must understand class management skills including, but not limited to, safety and risk awareness, “Skiers Responsibility Code”, “Smart Style”, lift loading, terrain choice, handling and reporting an accident.
* Have knowledge of all ski school programs.
* Have a clear understanding of all resort and ski school policies and procedures based on Omni Resorts standards and staff manual

What Does A Snowboard Instructor Do At Vail Resorts

* Keeping yourself and your guests_** **_SAFE_** **_at all times and in all situations._
* Providing great guest service at all times through sharing your passion for working with people and snowboarding._
* The details:
* Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain in high altitude, with varying winter weather conditions.
* Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of riding to guests, both physically and verbally (you’re going to have to explain and demonstrate to guests what they need to do).
* Ensuring that guests are matched to the appropriate rider skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary.
* Assisting guests with transportation of equipment.
* Assisting guests to load and unload chairlifts.
* Communicating instructions and helping guests to their feet during a lesson; lifting children by the vest (if applicable).
* Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardian.
* Assisting in operational responsibilities of Ski & Ride programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities
