At the end of the shift, if the distance to their residence is less than their normal return trip to their residence at the end of the shift then no milage reimbursement shall be made. One year of experience working with persons with disabilities preferred. Responsibilities and Duties: Supervision & Leadership Directly supervises LPNs and other nursing staff, particularly during summer camp. Provides mentoring, training, scheduling, and performance feedback to nursing team and other staff members. Conducts Initial, Interim, and Annual Employee Performance Reviews. Ensures appropriate delegation of nursing duties within scope of practice and licensing requirements. Clinical & Program Responsibilities Oversees medication administration and ensures compliance with licensing guidelines. Trains and monitors nursing staff in policies and procedures related to medication administration, infection control, and health/safety protocols. Reviews physician orders, updates care plans, and ensures proper documentation. Responds to medical incidents and emergencies, provides debriefing, and implements corrective action as needed. Compliance & Administration Ensures compliance with all state licensing requirements (VA DBHDS, DMAS, DSS, VA Board of Nursing) and organizational policies. Ensures compliance with all ACA health and safety protocols related to the nursing practice. Responsible for the development and maintenance of nursing policies and procedures. Evaluates the programs areas of risk and works to reduce medical and incident risk Requirements and Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 5 years of nursing experience. Two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. Experience with Medicaid Waiver programs and individuals with disabilities. Valid Virginia driver's license, DMV record insurable at normal rates.
