Essential Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Recruit, train, schedule, and lead staff. Provide input on performance evaluations and support staff development.
Represent the Department and provide excellent customer service at community events, meetings, and outreach opportunities; foster positive relationships with the public and partner organizations.
Operate and drive a motor vehicle safely and legally.
Participate in the Emergency Management program including planning, classes, training sessions, exercises and emergency events as required.

Qualifying Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business administration, journalism, communications, marketing, public affairs, or related field and one year of related work experience.

Via Customer Service and product warranty:

As the Public Affairs Specialist in this position, you will:
Manage internal and external communications for the Office of Communications Deputy State Director; serving as the spokesperson for the agency on certain issues.
Assist with fire information, providing content for the agency's socialmedia platforms and website.
Communicate issues related to the implementation of range policy, resource management plans, and the National Fire Plan.
Note: Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level. Promotion to the full performance level (GS-12) is neither guaranteed nor implied and will be based solely on your ability to satisfactorily perform the work of the position, existing work at the higher grade level, and recommendation by the position's supervisor.

A. Specialized Experience: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing the following:
(1) assisting with the production of a broad range of creative, informative print, electronic and digital products in support of the organization's communication objectives;
(2) writing a variety of public affairs materials to reach targeted audiences;
(3) assisting in planning, writing and editing news articles; graphic design, web, journalism and photography to convey information about an organization;
(4) communicating organizational programs, activities and/or functions to local communities.
OR
B. Education: Successful completion of at least master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related. This education must demonstrate possession of the knowledges, skills and abilities to perform the work of this position.

OR
C. Combination: Successful completion of a combination of education and experience. To calculate your combined amount, first determine the amount of your specialized experience as a percentage of the requirement listed in A above. About our Voter Engagement Specialist position
Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates (PPAA) is the political and advocacy arm of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana, Kentucky. What will you be doing!
The Voter Engagement Specialist (VES) will spend approximately 12 weeks at 20 hours per week and $20 per hour building grassroots support for reproductive health and rights through direct voter contact and grassroots organizing. The VES will learn and apply community organizing tactics that lead to social change, such as engaging supporters and volunteers to conduct voter education over the phone, via text messaging, and through outreach at community events. The VES will help recruit people to testify at public hearings and will work under the supervision of their state PPAA Field Organizer, with additional guidance from the State Director. This is a temporary position.
