If KE Camps can meet your internship requirements, your on-site Camp Director will be your field supervisor and oversee your course work. You will also be connected to a KE Camps contact at our HQ in Skillman, NJ. To receive credit, you must complete the course, practicum or internship per your college's parameters and complete your summer employment. As a Camp Counselor, you will be an active participant in all camp activities and will assist your Camp Director with a variety of daily tasks, all with the goal of creating a memorable and meaningful camp experience for your campers. Summary: The Domestic Violence Victim Advocate will provide residential and non-residential advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence through the Domestic Violence Assistance Program. Shift hours: 2nd Shift - Weekends Supervisory Responsibility: No Duties and Responsibilities: Provide trauma-informed services to survivors of domestic violence abuse and their families including support, advocacy, crisis intervention, safety planning, referrals, and in-takes. Consistently follow and uphold the program policy and procedures. Provide conflict management. Take appropriate steps to handle crisis and emergency situations with the goal of maintaining the safety of all staff and survivors. Provide follow-up services to all clients. Become familiar with all community resources to make appropriate referrals. Maintain client files, agency files, data, forms, and other record keeping as required. Adhere to agency policies and procedures, including strict adherence to DV program confidentiality policies and code of ethics. Attend and actively participate in agency meetings as required.
