The Cape Henlopen School District (CHSD) offers school psychology internships each academic school year. The District has a population of over 6000 students that come from the Rehoboth, Lewes and Milton areas. CHSD is located near the beaches of southern Delaware. In addition, the District houses the Sussex Consortium which is part of the Delaware Autism Program, and it services students from all of Sussex County, Delaware.
As part of the internship, a stipend of $30,000 will be provided. Each intern will be provided their own workspace, laptop, and office phone. The intern will be expected to complete the entire school year with the District. CHSD employs eighteen full-time school psychologists and has a special education department located in each school.
The internship experience will include the opportunity for many diverse experiences, including but not limited to:
Conducting multi-disciplinary evaluations
Attending at IEP meetings
Participating in MTSS meetings
Participating on the crisis response team
Conducting Functional Behavior Assessments
Completing observations and evaluations of early intervention students
Conducting group or individual psychological services
Exposure to students with low-incident disabilities

Position details
The Family Therapist carries a caseload as assigned. The FT provides home-based Functional Family Therapy (training provided) to families, actively participate as part of the therapy team, assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports. FT assist families with both clinical and concrete services, perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records, assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness, and perform other duties as requested by your direct supervisor. Provides intensive family therapy in the client's home, scheduling is flexible, and sessions must occur at the convenience of the family. Therapists work with an assigned caseload of 10-12 clients and families.

Position Details:
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor.
Schedule: Full-time, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday.
Location: Milford, DE (On-site).
Key Responsibilities
Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative strategies, etc.
Completes baseline clinical assessments, biopsychosocial.
Conducts groups.
Assist Therapist and Case Manager as needed.
Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
Responsible for covering client caseload in absence of primary Therapists.
Assists Therapist in familial communication and documentation.
Assists client in managing outside stressors.
Maintains clinical records according to program policies and those of licensing and accrediting agencies.
Assists Therapist and Case Manager with discharge planning.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics
Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
Knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Social Work or a related Human Services field.
Relevant substance-abuse or mental health certification or license.
Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health, preferred but not required.

Expectations & Requirements
Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage & Family Therapy from a CACREP-accredited (or equivalent) program.
License-eligible in Delaware (LACMH, LMSW, or LAMFT) candidates must meet eligibility requirements at the time of hire and obtain provisional licensure within 45 days.

Skills: Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches.

Compensation & Flexibility
Pay: $41 per clinical hour for the first 50 sessions per pay period (about 25 sessions per week).
Bonus rate: $50 per clinical hour for sessions above 50 per pay period.
Biweekly example (1099): 25 clients/week = $2,050 every two weeks (~$53,300/year) with higher earning potential.
Sign-on bonus: $1,000 after 90 days of successful performance and documentation compliance.
