ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform day-to-day tasks to support assigned area with meeting business needs while satisfying internship requirements
Represent Treasure Island Resort & Casino and Island Impact while interacting with guests at community and special events on and off property, including golf tournaments, fairs and local sporting events
Work with Community Engagement Supervisor and Specialist to plan and execute Island Impact volunteer events for Treasure Island Team Members
Assist Community Engagement Supervisor and Specialist with Treasure Island's digital in-kind donation program, including facilitating logistics related to delivery of donations
Complete industry trend and opportunity research project and present to department leaders
Complete special projects to support assigned area with meeting business needs while satisfying internship requirements
Provide accurate and consistent support in assigned department
Work 3 - 5 special events, including parades, concerts, fairs and festivals to assist with property needs

The Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) provides services to customers and their families to help them adjust to physical or mental illness, injury or hospitalization. Description: Under the direction of the Director of Special Education and the Building Principal, the Licensed School Social Worker provides direct and indirect social work services to students experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their performance in school, and facilitates communication among school, home and community providers.
Job Summary:
1. Provides school social work services to students who are at-risk and/or are demonstrating social/emotional/behavioral problems within the school setting.
2. Provides direct and indirect school social work services as a related service in support of special education.
3. Acts as a liaison between the home, school and community providers to access, mobilize and coordinate services.
4. Designs and develops tiered interventions to meet the needs of the students in need of assistance.
5. Collects, analyzes, and reports information on selected programs and students as required by the School District and state policy.
6. Connects with all students in the building to serve as a positive and caring adult role model in the building.
7. Provides crisis intervention services as needed.
8. Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as apparent or assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor's degree in social work.
2. Licensed as a school social worker by the Minnesota Department of Education.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Strong human relation and organizational skills.
5. Ability to build positive, productive relationships with diverse individuals and groups.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Master's degree in social work.
2. Three (3) years experience as a school social worker.

The Social Worker plays a vital role in supporting residents and their families throughout their stay in our skilled nursing facility. Working independently or in collaboration with the Case Manager RN, the Social Worker develops comprehensive post-acute care and discharge plans for residents who face personal, social, or environmental barriers to recovery and overall well-being.
What You'll Do
Develop and implement individualized discharge and post-acute care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Support residents and families in navigating the transition from skilled nursing care to home or other care settings.
Screen, assess, and provide resources related to social determinants of health (e.g., transportation, housing, food insecurity).
Serve as an expert on community and social service resources available to residents and families.
Coordinate referrals to Behavioral Health services as appropriate for counseling or outpatient care.
Provide education and support around housing stability, food access, and other essential needs.
Coordinate transportation arrangements for residents' medical or personal appointments.
Assist families in understanding the emotional and practical implications of the resident's medical condition and recovery process.
Conduct financial assessments and connect residents/families to applicable financial or community assistance programs.
Arrange for in-home care services, durable medical equipment (DME), and community-based supports as needed for safe discharge.

Qualifications:
Education/Knowledge:
EITHER: Licensed through MN Board of Social Work as a LGSW or LICSW social worker. Licensed as a School Social Worker by the MN Department of Education
Experience: Previous school social work/ school counseling or similar experience, experience with youth and minority youth
Interpersonal Skills: Often works cooperatively with students, parents, co-workers, management, and the general public from varied educational and cultural backgrounds (approximately 26 - 50% of the work day). Interaction may require providing advice to others outside of direct reporting relationships, talking directly with others to determine/improve level of satisfaction with new changers; and/or looking at a situation from more than one point of view. Communication may occur in either written or verbal format. Persuasion may be necessary to gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas.
Abilities: Exercises independent thinking and judgment within the limits of established policies and standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Special Education Responsibilities:
School Social Workers assist mainstream and special education teachers and administrators in fulfilling their duties and responsibilities with all special education students.
Services may also include school intervention strategies, behavioral management, in-service activities, and program evaluation. All such services are intended to help school staff recognize and provide for the individual differences and needs of all children.
Complete Social Worker/ Counselor portions on all special education evaluations
Provide service minutes for student with social work/ counseling services on their IEP's
Assist in writing positive behavior intervention plans and behavior goals when requested
General Education Responsibilities:
Social Workers/ Counselors participate in screening, evaluation, and/or intervention with at-risk youth (16 to 21 years old) suspected of having emotional, social, behavioral, and/or learning difficulties. In addition to contact with these persons, assistance may also involve consultation with parents, siblings, teachers, school psychologists, school administrators, and appropriate non-school personnel to inform, as well as advise on issues of student functioning and needs.
Work cooperatively with teams to provide appropriate programming for students. Facilitate gaining access to social services for students and families.
Maintain communication with members of the educational team concerning academic and behavioral progress.
Responsible for organizing and conducting regular child find meetings and documentation.
Provide student triage services for high need students utilizing teams of support staff both within MNIC and with community providers.
Run social-emotional groups in response student needs identified on health surveys
