We are currently hiring an On-Call Ambassador Crisis Specialist Flagstaff, AZ Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS (Additional Language Differential is Available) Your duties would include but are not limited to: Conducts ongoing outreach when assigned to the downtown area to engage with community who may need services related to water, food, warm clothing, shelter, and/or assistance with community services. Engages in mobile crisis assessment, brief psychotherapeutic intervention, provide written resources and/or referrals, and immediate treatment/safety planning in various settings, including individual residences, group homes, schools, shelters, and healthcare provider offices. Develops crisis management safety plans with patients or families, including having knowledge/understanding to the involuntary petition process. Makes appropriate referrals to other agencies, provides psycho-educational and skill-building resources and connections to supports. Re-engages with individuals who were previously referred to understand effectiveness of previous referral and document in contact notes. Works effectively and respectfully with patients, families, schools, Downtown Business Alliance, downtown businesses, CARE Unit, first responders, the crisis call center, shelters, health professionals and all partners involved. Shares information on the service survey with Downtown Business Alliance and downtown businesses to measure the effectiveness of the program and solicit additional input. Meets service delivery expectations including flexible schedule, as set forth by the department. Exhibits the ability to professionally communicate openly and clearly, verbally and in writing and demonstrates the ability to use mobile devices to communicate with the Downtown Business Alliance and business owners. Maintains appropriate patient records in the electronic health record that conform to agency guidelines, best professional practice, and state licensing requirements. Maintains record of individuals engaging with during assigned shift to downtown area to meet reporting requirements. Seeks appropriate clinical supervision to ensure the provision of effective services. Participates in weekly supervision with Mobile Crisis Clinical Manager/Supervisor/Lead. Provides transportation to patients as appropriate and medically necessary, as determined by the team, in Terros Health provided vehicle. Maintains confidentiality. Completes reporting required for Downtown Ambassador program. Qualifications GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or an associate's degree in the behavioral health field, or A bachelor's degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and 1 year of behavioral health experience, or A bachelor's degree in the behavioral health field (e.g. Psychology, Social Work, Counseling) Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of employment Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be (21 years of age) with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy. Under the daily supervision of the Center Manager and the medical supervision of the Lead Clinician and the Medical Director, the Clinician function as the clinical leader of a health center assigned by PPAZ and is responsible for safe, high quality clinical practice delivered consistently and within the medical standards and guidelines of PPAZ. GENERAL PRIORITIES • Participates in health center efforts to achieve established goals for productivity. • Adheres to affiliate policies on professionalism, wait time in-clinic and on the phone, and the system for addressing client complaints. • Participates in health center/affiliate efforts to achieve established revenue cycle goals. • Accepts individual responsibility for, and works jointly with the Center Manager to achieve: • Compliance with medical and agency policies and standards. • Customer satisfaction, client access, client retention and clinical outcomes standards. • Appropriate and adequate documentation of patient records to facilitate accurate charge capture and billing. • Performs appropriate medical screening and procedures including, but not limited to, breast and pelvic examination. The latter includes speculum examination, bimanual examination, obtaining of materials for STI investigation, cytologic smears (and other specimens as indicated), and other types of more specialized screening procedures, as may be indicated by clinical protocol. Interprets laboratory data and orders appropriate additional laboratory investigations when indicated. • Provides counsel and advice on family planning methods to patients and receives and handles patient questions and problems relating to these methods. Provides all methods of reversible birth control including, but is not limited to, diaphragm fittings, IUC insertions and removals, contraceptive Implant insertion and removal, and dispensing contraceptive supplies and medications. • Provides counseling, advice, and care for HIV prevention with PrEP and nPEP including medical screening, order and monitoring laboratory tests, management of medication and follow up. • Provides counseling, advice and care for gender affirming treatment for estrogen-based and testosterone-based care including medical screening, order and monitoring laboratory tests, medication management, and follow up. • Provides direct to patient telehealth care and management for services including but not limited to: birth control, STI testing and treatment, PrEP, nPEP, gender affirming care. • Refers patients with abnormal conditions or other medical problems found on the examination to the supervising physician when not covered by standing orders. Makes and follows up other appropriate medical and social referrals, as indicated. Provides liaison with health and welfare agencies, as needed. • Understands and participates in the referral/follow-up process. This includes -Maintaining adequate documentation of notification and follow up process as specified in the Clinical Protocol Manual. • Provides unbiased objective information on abortion, adoption and parenting as requested by patient. Provides support and responds to inquiries from abortion patients. This includes screening calls from abortion patients and responding to the needs of the patient. • Assists with training of staff in clinical standards, environmental maintenance, and health education. Maintains emergency response supplies and materials. Assists in training and clinical check offs for healthcare assistants as needed. • Works with the RNs and Resource RN for clinical follow up of laboratory results, prescription refills, patient calls, messages and questions. Gives RNs advice and orders for patient care in accordance with the standing orders for RNs and the PPFA/PPAZ MSGs. • Participates in the After-Hours Call program based on a schedule created by PPAZ. • Supervises trainees as scheduled. • Participates in in-service educational activities of the agency, including quarterly clinician meetings. • Participates in any research or clinical trials. • Participates in the Quality Assurance program by either performing EHR chart audits and/or reviewing the results to maintain quality and compliant care per the PPFA/PPAZ MSGs. • Demonstrates flexibility and teamwork; understands the interaction between this position and others with whom this position works directly and indirectly. • Maintains national, state, and board certifications and licenses per the requirements of those organizations. • Maintains Basic Life Support certification every 2 years. Work Schedule, On-Call Crisis Specialist are required to work a minimum of 4, 10-hour shifts per month. Preferred - Flexibility to work evening and overnight shifts. $ Bilingual Language Differential Pay Available! This position has a dual role: First, as part of the mobile crisis team, the Crisis Specialist responds on-site to individuals in crisis whose issues cannot be resolved by the crisis call center telephonically. Utilizing best practices in crisis intervention, the Crisis Specialist responds to and supports individuals and families in crisis. Second, engages in administrative activities necessary for the crisis department to function on a daily basis Your duties would include but are not limited to: * Performing mobile crisis interventions in a variety of settings including individual residences, schools, and hospital emergency rooms. * Working effectively and respectfully with clients, families, schools, first responders and all others involved * Supporting hospital discharges by providing assessment, planning and facilitation with hospital team * Acting as a key interface between the Crisis Department and the crisis call center * Ensuring the necessary infrastructure is in place and operating * Helping manage the Crisis Department schedule * Working closely with fleet and facilities departments * Auditing of documentation to ensure administrative completeness and accuracy * Displaying flexibility and ability to adapt to change * For licensed clinicians, providing clinical oversight to BHTs as needed * Assisting Director and Manager with tasks as needed The On-Call Crisis Specialist position fills shifts on an as needed basis and will not have a set weekly schedule.
