Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Therapist to provide quality therapeutic care, education, and treatment to adult patients. This role focuses on assessment, group and individual therapy, crisis intervention, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support recovery and mental wellness.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine patient needs, readiness for treatment, and clinical risk
Facilitate individual and group therapy using evidence-based practices
Educate patients and families on mental health, addiction, relapse prevention, and coping skills
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches as needed

Experience in addiction treatment, substance use disorder, or mental health preferred
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills

What We're Looking For
Certification as a Peer Recovery Coach or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, SocialWork, or Human Services required
Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
Valid licensure necessary to practice as a clinician in this state
If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.

Essential Functions:

Education/Experience/Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
Some relevant experience and able to demonstrate competencies in basic behavioral health skills, for example:

JOB DUTIES
Provide one-on-one case management. Perform initial client assessment with emphasis on self-sufficiency and independence.

Provide detailed, thorough monitoring of youth adherence to work plans by persistent and consistent follow-up through home visits, office visits, and off-site visits.

Comply with all WlOA documentation requirements in a timely fashion including contacts and activities involving youth, employers, and other groups; develop and maintain a well-organized filing system. Assist youth in finding and maintaining quality employment, post-secondary educational, and/or short-term training certification programs; work closely with students and employers for 12 months after completion of the program.
Advocate for the program and develops a pool of effective community support resources by working with employers, parents, civic groups and legislators to build awareness of and support for the program; develops job opportunities, participates in public relations activities, attends meetings and speaks to various community groups.
Communicate accurate and timely information to the Program and Assistant Program Managers concerning progress related to assigned projects/activities and client work plans. Express any needs, concerns, and/or problems in completing projects.
Awareness of all programs, projects, and activities provided by various departments of the agency.
Participate in supervision and group meetings with Program and Assistant Program Manager.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Teaches breastfeeding prenatal classes, as appropriate; attends trainings as appropriate.
Ensures clients who have loaner pumps are contacted every two weeks to determine if the pump is being used and to offer breastfeeding support.
Documents all encounters in computer chart progress notes and breastfeeding education forms. Maintains documentation on all contacts made with WIC clients.
Provides information and reports to the Breastfeeding Supervisor to clearly describe activities and progress toward agreed upon goals/objectives.
With supervisory approval, assists in the promotion of breastfeeding through various community outreach activities.
Travels to hospitals to help with breastfeeding in the county when needed.
Is available outside of the WIC clinic a minimum of one week per month to take call on a company provided cell phone after regular business hours to help new mothers who are having breastfeeding problems.
Checks email and voicemail on a regular basis to remain current on any changes that may impact peer counseling function.
Attends and participates in meetings and in-services as required. Participates in professional development activities. Chairs and serves on committees as requested.
