JOB SUMMARY
The Single Moms Program Senior Family Life Coordinator (FLC) is responsible for day-to-day administrative tasks on campus and the onsite management of program clients, ensuring adherence to program rules and expectations. The position supports clients to meet specific needs, either through direct provision of services from the program, or through referral to community resources. Additionally, when a Supervisor of Single Moms is not assigned to the campus, this role takes the lead for the program presence there. This includes educational classes, services, volunteer hosting and on-call work. The Senior FLC coordinates with volunteers and works with them to equip them for educational training for clients.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
Collaborate with Director of Single Moms Programs to make intake decisions for client suitability for the program.
Process phone inquiries and use judgement to make appropriate referrals.
Conduct client orientation and complete client admissions paperwork and documentation.
Develop service plans for each client, identifying needs, timelines, and through life skill evaluation, assistance with items such as budgeting, household management, scheduling.
Oversee client execution of service plan and household management, budget adherence, and program guidelines, and report any concerns to appropriate leadership immediately.
Provide for special needs of client families as prescribed by plan of service, including driving services.
Manage planning and coordination for weekly classes, organizing meals and client childcare to provide clients with place to meet.
Facilitate or teach classes in various life skills topics, such as Vocational Training, Personal Development, Financial Literacy, Parenting, and other topics encouraging personal and spiritual growth.
Develop and execute follow-up plans with discharged clients.
Submit accurate and timely scheduled reports, forms, and entries into the appropriate databases.
Represent OMC at community events, and host volunteers, tour groups and visitors on campus, to expand awareness of the Single Moms Program.
Participate in assigned training opportunities to stay informed on department expectations and changes in the field.
Maintain flexible schedule to meet with clients at least one to two evenings a week, or on weekends if necessary, and perform on-call responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in social work or an equivalent degree in Human Services field.
Two years of professionally related experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Social Worker is a year-round, certified position that is responsible for working closely with families, school counselors, teachers, students and school leader(s) to enhance the school's ability to meet its academic mission, especially where home, school, and community collaboration is key to achieving that mission. The work of the licensed Social Worker is to identify and support students and their families in eliminating barriers that impact learning.
Success in this role is measured by improving student social, emotional, behavioral, and academic outcomes and acting as a liaison with community agencies to ensure services.
This role reports directly to the Assistant Principal of Operations and will work regionally with the Manager of Student Support Services. The hours mirror the staff hours of the school the role is based.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Conduct assessments of individuals and families with the goal of improving student social, emotional, behavioral and academic outcomes.
Conduct reliable and valid assessments of students and families to inform the design of interventions to remove barriers to learning.
Participate in the development of school-wide prevention, initiatives and policies related to attendance to both be proactive to truancy and determine barriers and reasons for excessive absences.
Participate in the development of school-wide prevention, initiatives and policies related to safety, violence prevention and positive culture, social/emotional health, and the welfare of students
Conduct home visits, when necessary, in partnership with the school counselor's plan for attendance interventions and supports.
Complete assessments of campus needs to prioritize service delivery
Provide consultation to school personnel, parents/guardians, and community partners for the purpose of enhancing their understanding of student needs, developing effective interventions, and building school capacity.
Act as a liaison with community agencies to ensure continuity of services in partnership with the school counselors.
Provide follow up crisis counseling and referrals to appropriate providers
Demonstrate the use of evidence informed practices in their interventions
Utilize data in assessing needs of, planning interventions for individual students, groups, and/or whole school population.
Maintain accurate, complete and punctual records, as well as safeguard the privacy and confidentiality of information as required by law, district / state policy, and licensing requirements.
Meet the minimum professional development requirements as set forth by the licensing board
Adhere to state and district mandating reporting requirements as they pertain to safety concerns.
Ensure that students and their families are provided services within the context of multicultural understanding and competence.
Utilize evidence-informed practices, skills, and techniques that reflect the understanding of the role of culture in the helping process
Empower students and families to gain access to and effectively utilize school and community resources.
Assist with the onboarding of new KIPP Families

Our current compensation and benefits structure is very competitive and is commensurate with experience.
Our current starting salary for a first-year school social worker is $50,000 and this would be adjusted for years of experience and the required Master's degree that is required for this position.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:
Conducts initial evaluations in order to assess current functioning, diagnose psychiatric conditions, and assist in treatment planning and intervention for adolescents.
Provides adolescent individual therapy to youth diagnosed with chronic illness to address specific psychological disorders, to improve overall functioning and adjustment to medical condition, and to increase compliance with medical recommendations.
Provides family therapy to family members of youth with chronic medical conditions to support the care of these children in the home, decrease the likelihood of multiple placements, increase overall functioning and adjustment to family member's medical condition, and increase compliance with medical recommendations.
Participates in pediatric clinics in order to facilitate treatment planning and assist in care coordination.
Provides psychological consultation regarding patients to physicians, medical staff, and therapy staff.
Provides crisis assessment and intervention as needed in the pediatric clinic settings.
Participates in program development in the behavioral health department and the pediatric clinics.
Coordinates care with other state agencies, schools, and behavioral health agencies, as needed.
Maintains appropriate documentation of clinical evaluations and interventions.
Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance according to federal guidelines.
License or certification
Licensure (LCSW) or (LMHC) to practice independently at the clinical level as required by applicable Florida state requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience and skill working with pediatric patients at risk for and/or diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Provide mental health assessments and therapy/counseling services to patients, treatment planning, brief therapy, trauma-focused, cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral or equivalent; monitor patient's progress and the effectiveness of medication as directed by the physician
