The Litigation Counsel will join an experienced, committed, and hard-working litigation team under the direction of the Foundation's Chief Litigation Counsel. The subject matter includes First Amendment, open government, administrative, civil rights, and related cases. It also provides legal support and defense for the Foundation in its outreach and messaging efforts. Though we work collaboratively, the Litigation Counsel must be a self-starter and capable of managing his or her own caseload.
The Litigation Counsel's job duties will include:
Creating, filing, and aggressively pursuing legal actions in federal and state courts and administrative agencies against governments, public sector labor unions, and their allies who violate workers' rights;
Writing legal opinions, briefs, articles, memos, blog posts, and analyses;
Communicating about the Foundation's legal activities to supporters, the media, and the general public;
Working with Foundation staff to advance union reform and other key objectives;
Advising Foundation staff as they advance other facets of the Foundation's mission;
Cultivating partnerships with like-minded legal organizations and attorneys;
Public speaking at Foundation and other events.
Qualifications
Applicants with significant intensive litigation or related experience are preferred, all applicants with five or more years of litigation experience will be considered;
Possess excellent academic credentials, a strong and entrepreneurial work ethic, and the ability to persevere under adversity;
Possess excellent legal research and writing skills;
Be licensed to practice law in a state the Foundation expects to engage in litigation;

Position Summary
The Intake Assessor is a Licensed Counselor, under the supervision of the Intake Director, provides in-person risk assessment to assist the physician in identification of appropriate level of care for potential patients. The Intake Assessor is the initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff. The Intake Assessor works with the Business Office regarding patient financial data and verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed, as well as with the UR Department for the certification of patients admitted.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Registered Nurse or Master's Degree in a human relations or other related field.
Experience: Preferably two or more years experience in intake assessment activities within an acute psychiatric setting. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a psychiatric hospital setting including customer contact.
Licensure: Licensed to practice in the State of Texas as a mental health professional. (RN, LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LPCI)
Additional Requirements: A working knowledge of the DSM-IV and the Mental Status Exam. A working knowledge of the Addiction and Recovery field. May be required to work flexible schedule and overtime as needed; may be required to work on-call as needed.

What You Will Do\:
Responsible for ensuring patients are transitioned to appropriate levels of care in a timely and effective manner:
Completes Transition Evaluations and collects Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) data on patients within 48 hours of identification and begins discharge planning. Assesses and interviews patient and caregivers as part of this evaluation and as needed.
Reviews the Risk of Unplanned Readmission (RUR ) scores daily for all assigned patients.

About the Community Engagement Team
Zipline's Community Engagement Team plays an important public facing role in Zipline's operations. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with local government officials, civic organizations, business groups, neighborhoods, and schools. Their work helps individuals and organizations understand the impact of Zipline's service on the community, job creation, and the future of a logistics system that serves all humans equally.
The Role
Does creating and maintaining important relationships with multiple layers of stakeholders within local communities come naturally to you? Are you an engaging communicator who drives powerful narratives to create excitement and adoption of big and bold ideas? This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about community building, communications, and social impact. You'll help design and implement strategies to engage our community members, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach initiatives.
What You'll Do
Assist in planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and virtual meetups
Support the development of content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels
Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms
Conduct research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies
Help track engagement metrics and compile reports on community feedback and outcomes
Provide general administrative support to the community engagement team
What You'll Bring
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for community building and social impact
Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups)
Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Creative thinker who brings enthusiasm and initiative
A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is preferred
Bilingual proficiency (e.g., English and Spanish) is strongly preferred
What Else You Should Know
Our internships are full-time positions, in-person at our South San Francisco or Dallas office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May or June to August.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
Candidates are limited to three (3) applications within a 30-day period.
The starting cash range for this internship is $32 - 36/ hour. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and working location. The total compensation package for each role may also include: a housing stipend; overtime pay; relocation support; paid sick time; and more.

Provide therapeutic counseling and emotional support to patients and family members and education on end of life issues
Contribute to and execute the Plan of Care with family/patient
Record daily documentation of visits and contact in accordance with Policy
Provides referrals to community resources
Performs in-office/non-clinical administrative duties
Perform other duties as assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors of SocialWork with 1 year of applicable experience required; Master's degree preferred
Texas State license required
Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Hospice or healthcare experience preferred.
Proficient skill using a computer is required
