Primary Duties:
Provides clinical social work services to identified patients and families. This includes outpatient and inpatient services. Includes individual and group counseling regarding the impact of illness and hospitalization. Collaborates with other health care professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Facilitates communication regarding relevant psychosocial issues of patients and families to health care teams through recording in medical records (inpatient and outpatient), consultation and participation in relevant meetings.
Functions as a coordinating link between patient, family, hospital, and community resources to assure continuity of care. Represents social work perspective and serves as department representative to designated Hospital and Lombardi Cancer Center committees and community organizations.
Participates in orientation, training, and education programs for students, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals as required. Assumes responsibility for identifying training needs, locating resources, training needs, locating resources, and promoting own professional development.
Collaborates with other disciplines in development of new programs that enhance the quality of services to the Oncology Patient/Lombardi Cancer Center patient and their significant others. Collaborates with Clinical Nurse Coordinator staff and assists Discharge Planning Case Management Staff to facilitate appropriate placement of patients. This may be post-hospitalization or when clinical conditions warrant.
Actively cooperates as a participant in the Social Work Department, assuming backup-up and on-call responsibilities, committee work, research, QA/QI, and other duties as appropriate. May provide supervision to LGSW-level social workers.
Qualifications:
Master's degree of Social Work from an accredited training program.
3-4 years of experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience with acute and chronically ill patients (Hospital setting preferable).
LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker) D.C (District of Columbia) license.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Supervisory Social Worker (Hotline) duties and responsibilities include:

* Plans and organizes the schedules of Intake Hotline Workers to ensure 24-hour coverage, 7 days per week, 365 days per year.
* Reviews and approves abuse and neglect reports that are entered into the agency database within a prescribed time frame.
* Develops regular and special statistical and qualitative reports which assesses hotline call data.
* Participates in a quarterly quantitative hotline call reviews and makes recommendations regarding themes and improvements needed.
* Provides ongoing coaching and feedback to Intake Hotline Workers regarding how they engage callers, gather information, and assess potential safety and risk factors.
* Performs a full range of supervisory functions to include: assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinate staff; administers leave and attendance; evaluates staff performance; recommends hiring, status changes, disciplinary actions, and terminations; plans, schedules and coordinates work operations to achieve optimal combination of employees and assignments; addresses issues or problems related to work operations; negotiates and troubleshoots employee concerns, grievances, and other matters involved in the daily administration of labor-management concerns; provides coaching; guides immediate reports in the implementation of performance standards; addresses disciplinary problems; provides governance over staff development and training plans.

Qualifications and Education
Master of Social Work (MSW) from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education is required.
At least three years of child welfare experience inclusive of one year of child welfare supervisory experience is highly preferred.

As a vital, integrated member of a multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate with school teams and families in delivering SESI's proven, high-quality services-including individual or group counseling services.
Responsibilities
* Work with a diverse group of students from varying developmental, cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
* Provide individual, group, or push-in counseling services to students in accordance with their individualized education plan (IEP) or behavior intervention plan (BIP).
* Collaborate on creating IEPs, including social-emotional IEP goal setting and IEP meeting participation.
* Complete social-emotional and behavior assessments, analyze data to identify student strengths and weaknesses, and develop functional behavior assessments, BIPs, and other transition plans.
* Implement behavior management and intervention strategies, including de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint when necessary to maintain the safety of students and staff.
* Support social-emotional learning skill development through targeted curricula, assessments, and more intensive behavior support as needed.
* Provide in-service training with other teams, including expressive therapy and clinical teams.
* Collaborate with external partners and providers to support students, families, and staff.
* Maintain documents in student files according to regulatory agency requirements.
Qualifications
* Professional licensure, including LPC or LCPC, LCSW or LMSW, and LMFT or LMHC, LCMHC.
* Master's degree in social work, human services, or related field (mental health, psychology, counseling).
* 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents in a school, special education, or behavior health setting preferred.
