Mission Technologies, a Division of HII is seeking a Threat Generation & Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) Engineer to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Orlando, FL. The individual's primary responsibility will be to design, develop, document, test, and debug applications, software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions associated with threat generation and DMO in the Live-Virtual-Constructive (LVC) environment. Conduct multidisciplinary research and collaborate with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, integration, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for simulator software.
Essential Job Responsibilities
* Software development, software integration, and demonstrations for the various threat systems software. This software is integrated into flight simulators to support pilot training against potential threats.
* Communicate project status and team needs to leadership.
* Manage documentation, briefs, reports, and answer data calls.
* Establish requirements and associated methods per MIL-STDs, CDRL and DIDs.
* Demonstrate a knowledge of standard programming algorithms, design patterns, and object-oriented software design.
* Evaluate and review C++ language code Programming using C++, Python 3, HTML.
* Develop parallel processes, threading, process communication.
* Develop web-based applications using development technology.
* Collaborate with team members to design future enhancements.
* Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
* 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
* Experience with scripting, database, and programming languages such C++.
* Ability to plan, organize, and manage both project and program activities.
* Effective written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills.
* Experience researching new technologies to help solve existing technical problems or shortfalls.
* Secret Clearance with the ability to upgrade to Special Access Program / Special Access Required (SAP/SAR).
Preferred Requirements
* Experience with Agile software practices.
* Experience with tools such as Test Complete, QTP, Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins or GitLab.
* Advanced proficiency with C++.
* Experience with developing system and sub-system level models (Air vehicles, ground vehicles, ground-based sensors, and other types of complex systems).
* Experience working with/developing multi-system mission level simulations (Air space simulation, swarm simulations, Game development, etc.).
* Experience in the gaming or military simulation fields delivering configurable scenario-based environments for war-gaming (e.g., AFSIM, NGTS, etc.).
* Experience supporting SAP efforts.
Physical Requirements
Work will be in a normal office environment. May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
