The Staff Software Engineer at Macy's Technology leads the design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. What You Will Do

Commit to overall deliverables with customers and/or management.
Recommend vendors for projects, negotiate terms/conditions with vendors, and support evaluation of new technical direction and approach with recommendations to Macy's Technology senior management.
Lead the coding/configuration, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions, and develop detailed design specifications.
Perform complex applications programming activities, including coding, testing, debugging, documentation, maintenance, and modification of complex application programs.
Monitor and establish the operating efficiency of existing application systems, and provide (or arrange for) proactive maintenance. Lead the resolution of customer inquiries.
Serve as a coach and mentor to more junior developers, including delegating and managing tasks as appropriate.
Act as a technical expert on existing applications and other inter-related/adjacent systems and applications.
Design systems/applications with a high level of complexity, such as those with many interfaces or multiple packages and platforms.
Evaluate the applicability of leading-edge technologies and use this information to significantly influence future business strategies.
Generate technical and/or business systems knowledge and ideas from external sources, and incorporate those ideas into IT work.

As a Robotics Software Engineer - Integration at Mujin, you will collaborate closely with both the software development and integration teams, solving challenging technical problems to deliver our solutions. You will be part of the product development team and leverage your strong technical skill sets to support develop, configure, test, and troubleshoot critical components of the Mujin system. You will provide remote and onsite support for integration engineers and collaborate with the integration team to design and incrementally develop Mujin products.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a bridge between the development team and the integration/deployment processes for Mujin's software products
Automate and streamline integration workflows to improve efficiency
Develop and maintain internal and external software tool suites
Create API and software documentations
Analyze system performance and create performance reports
Support configuration and optimization of robotic solutions at customer facilities to meet project requirements
Identify and resolve issues in code developed by other team members
Configure and troubleshoot software systems to ensure seamless integration and deployment
Provide technical support and expertise to help resolve integration-related issues that arise
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required or Masters preferred in Computer Science, Robotics, or Computer Engineering with a minimum of zero- two years of experience in the following:
Software configuration and deployment
Coding in C++, Python, and other languages using Linux
Generating advanced physics models related to hardware
Performing reliability and validation testing related to all software developed
Working with real-time computing technologies, including but not limited to RTOS, Linux kernel module development, EtherCAT or similar real-time systems and protocols
Willingness to travel 75% of the year, as required by project demands, allowing you to provide onsite support and engage with customers effectively
