Developer Experience (DevX) is responsible for making sure all engineers at Coinbase build high-quality products while being productive and engaged. We do this by providing infrastructure, libraries, frameworks, and tooling to make it easier and faster to build high quality applications.
*What you'll be doing:*
* Own the frontend experience of Internal Developer Platform (IDP), Coinbase's comprehensive Developer Hub.
* Build and maintain React components and pages that integrate with Infrastructure products such as release pipelines, configuration management system, asset management system, real-time usage data, quality scores, and service documentation.
* Collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, and API publishers to craft workflows that help teams publish, discover, and evaluate APIs.
* Elevate the quality and design of internal tools used daily by hundreds of engineers.
* Improve accessibility, performance, and reliability of the IDP UI.
* Partner with Staff Engineers, Product Managers, Product Designers to influence product roadmap and UX priorities.
* Contribute to Coinbase's broader design system and internal frontend libraries.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing a strong research program funded by external sources, supporting and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and providing service to the University and the profession along with other activities typical for a tenure-track faculty. Department overview:
Over the last ten years, Boise State University has made a significant investment in the growth of the Department of Computer Science, with nineteen new faculty lines, a building in downtown Boise, and several new undergraduate and graduate programs. This investment has enabled the department to more than triple in size over the last ten years to twenty seven faculty (19 tenure-track) and now awards 100+ undergraduate degrees and 20-30 MS/PhD degrees each year.
The undergraduate degree in Computer Science offers emphasis areas in Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, Entrepreneurship, and Secondary Education, with enrollment averaging around 700 students. A new undergraduate degree in Artificial Intelligence Science was started in Fall 2025. An interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Computing program was started in 2016, with emphasis areas in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Computer Science, and Computational Math Science & Engineering. The PhD program has quickly grown to be the largest PhD program at Boise State with 80+ students, and faculty participation from a multitude of departments across campus. The College of Engineering and Department of Computer Science have a strong record of providing support and mentoring for early and mid-career faculty. In the last several years new faculty have been very successful in obtaining external funding, with six Computer Science faculty members receiving NSF CAREER awards, and several other faculty receiving large grants from various funding agencies.
The department is a critical part of the vibrant software and high-tech industry in the Boise metropolitan area, with close relationships with tech companies and a strong and active industry advisory board. In 2016 the department moved to a new building located in the heart of downtown Boise - within walking distance to dozens of software companies but still close to the main campus. The department's location in the heart of downtown allows faculty and students to interact more frequently with the ever-growing number of local software companies. AppDetex is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our passionate group of smart creatives. They will play an intricate role in driving the growth of our rapidly expanding and industry disrupting brand protection technologies. They are fluent in tech stacks such as Java/Spring/Hibernate/MySql/NoSql and thrive on staying current.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement software that meets the delicate balance between time to market and perfection.
Partner with the Product Owner - learn quickly and adapt to market conditions and customer opportunities.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
5+ years professional software development using Java, C# or equivalent
2+ years working with data stores such as MySql, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis
2+ years working with AWS such as RDS, EC2, Cloudfront and S3
Expert with Git, Maven, Jenkins or the equivalents
Solid development fundamentals such as OO, Patterns, Unit Testing, Code Reviewing
Desired Skills:
Experience with Docker, Terraform, Consul or equivalents
Experience monitoring with services such as DataDog, Zabbix or equivalents
Strong understanding of front end development using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
