RESPONSIBILITIES
Build automated testing solutions to meet Paycom goals for automated testing
Create, organize, and manage test automation standards and other resources
Create, update, and maintain automated UI test
Create, update, and maintain automated API tests
Implement automated test systems for Paycom applications
Collaborate with Development, Software Quality Assurance, and DevOps teams to analyze and use quality feedback and data to improve automated testing processes
Assess existing automated testing and suggest opportunities for improvement
Document automation strategy and procedures for team
Create automation test plans and get approvals
Research recommended test automation tools and configure automated test environment elements.
Integrate automated tests with CI/CD tools and pipeline. (i.e. GitLab)
Collaborate with DevOps team to extend existing test automation frameworks and tools
Triage, troubleshoot, and document defects
Work closely with engineers and Software Quality Assurance to manage and improve the development pipeline
Perform and write automated functional, system, regression, and integration tests
Develop and execute manual test cases for testing of software to expose flaws and ensure all issues are resolved before the code is released to production
Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams and leadership
Utilize internal automation tools to help teams achieve complete automation
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering or related field; Similar education combinations may be considered for Bachelor's degree holders outside of the listed majors
Experience:
Must have training or experience in one or more scripting languages and configuring test automation
Experience using SCM tools like Gitlab or Bitbucket
Experience working in an agile SDLC environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Certified Test Foundation Level (CTFL) - ISTQB or ASTQB Standard
