Software engineer/architect job description

Precision Resources a division of the Trimarc Group Inc., is presently recruiting for a Senior Software Engineer/Systems Architect for a permanent position for one of our clients in Alabama.
This is a fulltime remote position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• College degree required. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology preferred with 6-10 years of IT experience.
• Familiarity with finance or insurance industry and product models, data analysis, rating concepts, and a general knowledge of basic business functions performed within software products.
• Strong background in .NET/.NET Core/C# and related technologies

DUTIES:

• Provides technical leadership and vision for software solutions, technical strategy and design, coordination of projects and tasks, planning and organization of developmental work, and insuring quality software deliverables.
• Designs effective application recovery strategies, approaches to track and monitor the health of software systems, and vision for minimizing/preventing functional and technical software issues across multiple environments and platforms.
• Grows, mentors, and matures critical skills of the software development departments/teams.
• Provides timely, effective resolution of software problems, questions, and additional assignments.
• Leads the evolution of company-level best practices, standards, and policies as it relates to software development.
• Acts as a liaison between technical and business teams, focusing on the big picture to meet business requirements.
Must have US Citizenship or Green Card.

Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 7 years of industry experience with product development.

+ Experience leading component selection, schematic, layout, bring-up, and testing of devices.

+ Experience with Electrical Engineering lab instruments and their use in verification and troubleshooting.

Preferred qualifications:

+ Experience with ODM, JDM, or CM models of product development.

+ Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Si team, ME, EMI/ESD, RF, Antenna, and Reliability.) to reach consensus for product and engineering decisions.

+ Ability to analyze engineering trade-offs and make data-driven decisions.

+ Experience in low power consumer product development and portable electronics (e.g., tablets, phones, and notebooks).

+ Comprehensive knowledge in wireless protocols, MCUs, mixed signal analog and audio, power management, or biometric sensors.

+ Knowledgeable in signal integrity, batteries, power supplies, displays, and touch features.

+ Produce innovative architectures with consumer appeal to meet size, performance, cost, time to market, and quality targets.

+ Promote technology investigation projects that advance smartwatch features.

+ Lead component selection, schematic, bring-up, and testing of new Fitbit smartwatches and trackers throughout the product life cycle.

+ Direct and review PCB layout and simulation work.
