What we are looking for: As a Gameplay Engineer, you will work closely with Design, Animation, and Audio to create new gameplay experiences and take ownership over large gameplay features. You will be working on an early-stage incubation project so a flexible mindset is necessary, and your opportunity to participate in design and have your voice as part of the product will be high. Requirements What we will do together: Contribute to the design of our gameplay systems Develop, modify, and debug gameplay software in script and C/C++ Deploy, optimize and test gameplay software on PC. What is your role? As a Principal Gameplay Engineer at Eleventh Hour Games, you will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of EHG. You'll be responsible for architecting systems, guiding engineers across gameplay and tools, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the pipeline. You will collaborate closely with design, art, and production teams to deliver innovative, performant, and scalable solutions. You will assist the Development Director in mentoring engineers, establish best practices, and help bridge high-level vision with hands-on engineering. The ideal candidate thrives in complex problem-solving, has deep expertise, and brings strong communication skills to drive collaboration across a fully remote, global team.
