Full-Stack Product Engineer - Shipping the Future of AI in Finance - Remote (if preferred)
💼 Type: Full-time
💰 Compensation: $175k - $230k + meaningful equity
🌍 Reach: Trusted by 40% of the world's top 50 financial firms
We're building AI agents to solve the hardest knowledge problems in finance.
We've recently been named one of the Top 25 FinTech AI Companies of 2025 by
The Financial Technology Report
, just days after landing on CB Insights' AI 100 list for 2025. We're also backed by some of the best investors in the world, including Sequoia and Neotribe Ventures.
Our mission is simple: eliminate the hours financial professionals waste on repetitive, manual analysis-so they can focus on what really matters. We're building advanced, domain-specific AI systems that automate deep, complex reasoning in financial workflows. Think of it as an intelligence layer that does the reading, interpreting, and answering-across thousands of unstructured data sources-on behalf of our users.
We've been growing fast: 5x revenue growth year-on-year, with the same trajectory forecasted for 2025. Our platform is already trusted by nearly half of the top 50 financial institutions globally.
🧠 The Technology
At the core of our platform is a RAG-based architecture, purpose-built for finance. It's designed to replicate the kind of deep reasoning you see in leading models like OpenAI's o1-capable of parsing nuanced questions, retrieving domain-relevant knowledge, and producing context-aware answers with minimal hallucination.
You'll work with state-of-the-art AI stacks, combining LLMs, vector search, and custom orchestration to automate tasks that have traditionally taken analysts days or even weeks.
🛠 What You'll Do
As a Product Engineer, you'll be embedded deeply within one of our most strategic client engagements-delivering real value through hands-on development and technical leadership.
You'll:
Design and build full-stack features (Python, React) that solve high-value, knowledge-intensive challenges in finance
Work autonomously across the entire product lifecycle-from discovery to delivery
Act as a mini-CTO for the customer-owning solution architecture, technical delivery, and continuous improvement
Collaborate closely with AI researchers, designers, and product leads to bring groundbreaking user experiences to life
Translate business pain points into technical strategies that scale across users and use cases
Shape product direction through direct feedback from high-stakes, real-world usage
💡 You Might Be a Fit If You…
Have 4+ years of experience as a software or product engineer, ideally in fast-paced, early-stage environments
Are proficient with modern web frameworks (Python, React, TypeScript, etc.) and can build production-ready systems end-to-end
Are excited by AI-native product design and have experience working with or around LLMs, RAG, or agent-like architectures
Love talking to users and solving real business problems-not just coding in a vacuum
Bring an entrepreneurial mindset, with an eye toward growing into a CTO, founding engineer, or VP-level role
Thrive on ownership, autonomy, and delivering software that actually matters
✨ Why This Role Is Different
Real-world AI, not hype - Work on production-grade, high-impact systems used by world-class institutions
Accelerated growth - Join a company that's 5x'd revenue for two straight years and isn't slowing down
Customer intimacy - Sit at the intersection of product and strategy, not buried in a feature factory
Elite talent, low ego - A small, globally distributed team that's fast, curious, and deeply collaborative
Long-term opportunity - Help define a new product category in AI and carve out your leadership path as we scale
📬 Let's Talk
If you're excited about building deeply technical, AI-driven products that solve real-world problems-and want to work directly with global financial leaders-this is your moment.

At Peerbound, we turn customer love into a growth engine.
We use AI to mine unstructured data-call recordings, customer reviews, CRMs, and more-to help marketing and sales teams find their biggest fans and turn their words into revenue. Peerbound reimagines how customer content is discovered, created, and delivered to sellers.
We're a tight-knit team based in NYC, working in person four days a week. Our founders helped build Braze and Datadog, two of NYC's top technology IPOs. We're backed by the world-class investors behind Square, Instacart, Airtable, and Webflow.
Our customers are leading B2B SaaS companies like AlphaSense, Gong, Gainsight, Lattice, and Motive. Marketers and sellers at these companies rely on Peerbound daily to surface real customer proof that helps them win.
We're well-capitalized, growing fast, and on a clear path to profitability.
Tech Stack
Python, Typescript, React, GraphQL, Postgres, Azure, Pulumi
Compensation
$132K to $168K annual salary, founding equity, top-tier health/vision/dental
The Role
We're looking for a sharp, ambitious engineer who thrives in high-autonomy, high-ownership environments and wants to build core systems that define the company's trajectory.
You'll work directly with our CEO and Head of Engineering to set priorities-then you'll own execution end to end. From writing RFCs to shipping production code, you'll architect and deliver features across the stack, often paired with a senior engineer.
You will work exclusively on the most strategically important engineering challenges we face. In the next 3-6 months, your projects will include:
Architecting a RAG-based system to power our AI assistant
Building a scalable data platform to onboard larger customers without latency tradeoffs
Designing a flexible, unified customer data model across 3rd-party sources
Creating sandbox + shadow pipelines to test and validate AI models before rollout
You'll help shape an engineering culture that values clear thinking, strong ownership, fast iteration, and well-reasoned tradeoffs. You know when to sweat the details-and when to take on tech debt to move faster.
The Ideal Candidate
2-4 years of experience building SaaS applications
Strong understanding of distributed systems and data design
Shipped customer-facing products (not just internal tools), ideally from zero to one
Fluent in Python and Typescript; bonus if you've worked with React
NYC-based and energized by in-person collaboration-we're in the office 4 days a week
Customer Love
Here are some of the things our customers have said about us in the past 30 days:
“Your team has been phenomenal. At the end of the day, it's about people, and you guys take feedback very seriously, implement features quickly, and we feel like we have a true partnership with the Peerbound team, which is something I can't say for many other tools I work with. Overall, it's been a great experience with the product and the team, which is why we renewed.”
“As a former BDR, I would've killed for Peerbound. It's a goldmine for outbound teams, serving up ready-to-send content tailored to each deal. As a customer marketer, I love that it puts our best proof in motion automatically. Why wouldn't every rep want this right in their inbox?”
“It's a night and day difference working with you guys versus with them.”
"Being able to draft and send quotes directly from Peerbound to the customer and tag the CSM eliminates waiting. Our PR lead will love this feature as it speeds up PR quote approvals massively."
"This is why we chose Peerbound. We knew that y'all would continue to build and improve. I'm really proud of that decision and I can't wait to use this. This is awesome."
"I found the Slackbot useful when trying to write copy or brainstorm competitor content. It is so helpful to have access to those quotes and links to calls for digging deeper."
"I haven't been more excited about a tool than Peerbound. It's so easy, so intuitive, and it makes sense. The level of service is phenomenal."
"The biggest update I wanted to share with you is that I pitched the Peerbound integration to Slack to the sales leaders yesterday morning. They were ecstatic-halfway through my presentation, they said, 'Stop, we're sold. Don't sell beyond the selling, we're already sold. How do we roll this out to everybody?' I told them we need to do a pilot, and they asked, 'Do we have to? Can't we just roll it out to everybody?' They were all super excited."
"I'm super stoked about the impact that this tool can have for not just our team selfishly-it makes our job easier to not be that source of information. The amount of times people ask me, 'Hey [Peerbound customer], do you have a customer on this or that?'-me not having to answer that is so easy."
