NorthropGrumman Corporate is seeking a full‑time Corporate SoftwareEngineering Director 1 to lead the enterprise‑wide SoftwareEngineering Council/Center of Excellence (CoE) and represent the SoftwareEngineering function at the corporate level. Reporting to the Corporate Enterprise Engineering Senior Director, the Director will shape the vision, strategy, and execution of softwareengineering across the company, partnering with sector and CIDO leaders to strengthen discipline performance, develop talent, and keep the organization at the forefront of modern software practices and technologies.

Job Scope and Responsibilities:
Establish a centralized SoftwareEngineering function aligned with the overall enterprise engineering vision.

Lead the SoftwareEngineering Council/CoE, defining strategy, priorities, and working‑group structures in collaboration with sector leadership.

Benchmark our processes against government, industry, and best‑practice standards.
Own the Enterprise Software Principles and Operating Procedures (PrOP).
Help the company effectively integrate artificial intelligence into softwareengineering processes and engineering products/platforms, ensuring AI adoption enhances productivity, quality, and innovation.
Escalate critical issues and strategic discussions to the Executive Leadership Team, Enterprise EngineeringLeadership Team, and Corporate Technology Council as required.
Build strong partnerships with sector leaders and other functional groups, determining objectives, interpreting policies, and ensuring alignment with long‑range planning.
Facilitate internal and external engagement at events such as Engineer'sWeek and SW all‑hands.
Provide enterprise‑wide expertise on existing capabilities, technologies, and platform interconnections.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with at least 12 years of softwareengineering experience OR Master's degree in a STEM field with at least 10 years of softwareengineering experience.
Minimum of 10 years in softwareengineering management roles (e.g., program IPT lead or functional leadership).
Minimum 7 years of systems engineering experience.
Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (or higher) in order to be considered and must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to SAP/SAR as a condition of continued employment.
Proven record of leading change‑management initiatives.
Experience on large‑scale, cross‑sector development programs with integrated workforce operations.

Primary Level Salary Range: $193,800.00 - $336,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated SoftwareEngineer to join our team in supporting Army tactical programs. As a SoftwareEngineer specializing in Mobile Network Engineering, you will design, develop, and maintain mobile network solutions with a focus on edge computing and advanced mobile network protocols to enhance the capabilities and performance of our systems. Responsibilities
Develop, test, and maintain software applications using one or more of the following technologies: Kotlin, Rust, JavaScript, Java, C#, or C++.
Design and implement mobile network solutions for edge computing environments.
Work with Layer 3 and Layer 4 network protocols, including but not limited to Multicast, TCP, UDP, QUIC, and NORM.
Optimize mobile network performance to ensure reliability and security in varying operational environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software on schedule.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex software and mobile network issues.
Ensure mobile network solutions comply with security and performance standards.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
5+ years experience in software development using Kotlin, Rust, JavaScript, Java, C#, or C++.
Strong understanding of mobile network engineering principles and applications.

Responsibilities
The Opportunity
We're looking for a Backend SoftwareEngineer with strong C# / .NET, Entity Framework, and Relational Database skills to join our logistics app team. You'll work closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to quickly iterate on features, improve performance, and build out a secure, scalable platform for real-world military and government users.
This role blends hands-on coding with architectural input, and you'll be exposed to everything from UI workflows to backend API logic to deployment automation.
What You'll Do
Write clean and secure back-end services using C# / .NET, with a focus on REST APIs and modular design.
Design and optimize data access layers using Entity Framework.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and documentation.
Collaborate across design, product, DevSecOps, and field teams to launch features quickly and securely.
Participate in rapid prototyping cycles while maintaining production-grade coding standards.
Write unit and integration tests to support automated testing/validation and code quality gates.
Troubleshoot bugs, squash performance bottlenecks, and help build towards FedRAMP and IL5 deployment requirements.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For:
3+ years of relevant softwareengineering experience.
Proficiency in C# and modern .NET, with hands-on experience with Entity Framework and relational databases.
Solid understanding of SQL, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with dependency injection, async/await, and LINQ.
Experience building REST APIs and understanding the relationship between frontend and backend systems.
Familiarity with secure software development practices and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc).
Comfortable working in Agile or Lean environments, with rapid delivery cycles and direct user feedback loops.
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance. Active Secret or TS clearance preferred.
Bonus Points For:
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized deployment pipelines.
Hands-on work with secure government environments (DoD, IL5+, FedRAMP).
