As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will lead efforts to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction by driving root cause analysis and corrective actions across operations, engineering, and QA teams. This role focuses on investigating and resolving customer complaints, managing internal non-conformances, and implementing systemic improvements to reduce recurring issues. You will monitor quality metrics, maintain customer scorecards, and collaborate with site leadership to align QA activities with business objectives. By applying strong analytical skills and expertise in ISO standards, Six Sigma methodologies, and process improvement, you will play a key role in safeguarding compliance and elevating overall product performance.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Work with OPS, Engineering and other QA team members to determine RCCA
Work with Customer Service to satisfy the customer deficiency
Communicate with site leadership about important complaints
Communicate metrics with site leadership
Work to correct systemic or re-current deviations to reduce customer complaints
Work to maintain customer complaints within site goals
Essential & Additional Job Functions:
Customer Complaint: Lead investigation, Containment, Disposition of defective product, and communication with customer.
Drive and support Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA);
Verify effectiveness of action taken.
Support Internal Non Conformances (NCM) process; including Material Review Board (MRB);
Identify Quality issues during manufacturing process, calibration, inspection and testing;
Process internal CAPAs and CIs:
Work with internal stake holders to investigate and resolve issues impacting product quality on the production floor. Define appropriate corrective actions and follow through to ensure effectiveness
Maintain customer scorecard system:
Monitor and report trends and adverse scores
Report performance and status of Quality metrics
Identify, and coordinate actions to improve Quality metrics;
Support any Quality requirement from the organization, including training activities;
Participate and support improvement projects (Kaizen);
Notify management of any risk on defective product that could generate complaints.
Assure that QA activities are in alignment with business goals and objectives.
Evaluate and monitor the quality level of products and processes to assure that they are conforming to specified requirements.
Job Qualifications
Minimum Required:
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience or an Associate's degree and 6 years' experience in a Quality role at a manufacturing operation.
The candidate should have direct experience with root cause analysis, corrective action plans, process flow diagrams, and FMEA's.
They should possess a working knowledge of Sigma analysis tools, Measurement System Analysis, and Control Plans, be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Minitab and Access, have Six Sigma experience, and a working knowledge of the ISO Standards (ISO9001, IATF 16949 and associated Core Tools).

Our collaborative software tools team develops manufacturing applications, and various specialty software tools for our hardware engineering teams. The focus of this position is on software that goes into our global tools for engineering and production of various cable and thermal loopback products, including active copper, passive copper and active optical. This area is rapidly evolving to support ever more complex communication chips, including linear active amplifiers to 80GHz, DSPs, as well as richer host interfaces, notably CMIS.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, debug and support of software for active high speed IO cables and thermal loopbacks. This includes working with customers, internal engineers, production facilities, as well as manufacturers of communication chips chosen.
As a key resource, be contributing member of product teams that turn high speed IO cable concepts into products that then get handed off to manufacturing.
Provide engineering support to team members working on fine tuning of communication settings by opening up back doors or interfaces as needed.
