Bering Straits Native Corporation (BSNC) is currently seeking qualified summer interns for our Anchorage and Nome offices. BSNC is committed to helping prepare tomorrow's leaders for the workforce by providing paid internships to qualified shareholders and descendants. Applicants must be current college students, high school graduates who have been accepted to college or technical school and plan to attend in the fall, or recent college graduates. Under the direction of the Shareholder Training Supervisor, and in accordance with the guidelines and policies of the company, and local, state, and federal laws, this internship position performs assigned duties, consisting of administrative and clerical tasks (or other duties) in support of various programs, executive leaders, managers, and staff.
At the conclusion of the internship program, BSNC Interns will take part in an exit interview. This interview will cover topics such as job knowledge, teamwork, work habits, work quality, and work ethic. Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs onsite work inspections to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications. Checks construction layout and contractor layout; estimates quantities, and performs grade checking and cut/fill calculations. Will be required to drive on an as needed basis.

* Related curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance.
