    The Service Technician - Intern is a part-time role is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance and repair of HVAC systems utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and building automation systems (BAS), pipe fitting, welding, brazing, and mechanical layouts. The Service Technician Intern will work with a Senior Service Technician. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: * Fulfilling Brady Mentorship Program requirements to include completing on-the-job training requirements laid out in the BMP evolutions * Servicing of products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction * Identification, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing systems and products at customer's location * Performing timely preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers * Performing repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems * Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units * Documents work by completing paperwork on each job daily and closing out jobs in a timely manner where applicable * Determining parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need * Preparing for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work, as necessary * Provide technical support and act as a resource for customers * Knowledgeable with the products and services offered by Brady * Inspect, maintain, and complete necessary repairs for all company provided materials including fleet vehicle, tools, equipment where provided * Maintain service uniform wear such as hats, shirts, pants, and shoes to ensure compliance with company dress code * Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, legal regulations, and recommended best practices * Collaborate with all Associates to uphold the company's mission and values * Supervised all of the time * Must be able to work overtime/weekends as requested PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL EXPOSURE: The physical demands and environmental exposure outlined below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job Posting External Job Responsibilities: Assist with all safety data entry including training records, inspections, and record-keeping. Assist in conducting environment and safety training. Assist in the development and implementation of ISO 14001 in all plants. Assist Director/EHS manager in development of environmental/safety training modules and waste management plans. Conduct monthly environmental and safety audits. Complete and/or collect data for regulatory reports including Air Emission, Hazardous Chemical Inventory, and Toxic Release Inventory reports. Job Qualifications: Candidate must be currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Management, Earth and Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related degree. Must have own means of reliable transportation. Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
