**Your Impact**
+ Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.

**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**What you will do in this role:**
· Shadow and observe licensed Surgical Technologists and surgeons to gain a better understanding of their roles and responsibilities.
· Assist in preparing operating rooms, ensuring they are clean, sterile, and well-stocked with the necessary equipment and supplies.
· Help with the transportation of patients to and from the operating room under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
· Observe and learn proper surgical aseptic techniques and infection control practices.
· Assist with the preparation and handling of surgical instruments and supplies under the direct supervision of a licensed Surgical Technologist.
· Provide basic patient care and comfort, such as answering questions, providing reassurance, and ensuring patient privacy.
· Participate in educational opportunities, such as attending workshops, seminars, or training sessions, as directed by the supervising Surgical Technologist or department manager.

- Current enrollment in an accredited surgical technology program, or 6 months post graduation. **Required**
- Completion of prerequisite coursework in anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and medical terminology. **Required**
