Establish and report on metrics and KPIs to track service reliability and effectiveness (e.g., deployment frequency, change failure rate, MTTR, customer satisfaction); use data to inform decisions and continuous improvements. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches for shared services to ensure alignment with engineering best practices, regulatory/compliance standards, and mission assurance requirements. Recruit, develop, mentor and motivate technical leads and engineers; foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning focused on mission outcomes. You will play a key role in automating cloud deployments, optimizing performance, and troubleshooting infrastructure-related issues. What You'll Do * Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform. * Cloud Operations: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency. * Automation & CI/CD: Develop automation scripts and pipelines using tools like Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, or GitHub Actions. * Security & Compliance: Capable of implementing best practices for security, identity management, and compliance (IAM, VPC, encryption, logging). * Observability & Monitoring: Set up and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana). * Incident Management: Respond to and resolve production incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery. * Collaboration: Work closely with developers, DevOps teams, and security teams to support cloud-based applications. * Documentation: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for cloud infrastructure and automation processes. What You'll Bring * 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch, SSM, SSO, etc.). * Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation. * Experience with cloud operations, monitoring, and incident response. * Familiarity with Linux systems administration and scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell). * Strong knowledge of networking concepts (VPC, VPN, DNS, Load Balancing, Security Groups). * Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. In all other markets, the target base salary pay range for Consultant level is $109,000-$135,500 and for Senior Consultant level it is $125,000-$155,500 and for Principal level it is $138,500-$172,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors.
