The Software Solution Architecture, Sr. Manager serves as a key technical resource and trusted advisor for Vertiv customers. They will be responsible for providing technical insight for the Software Monitoring & Controls business along with supporting a combination of Vertiv direct sellers and sales offices. In this role, they will also maintain relationships with key customers to land strategic projects, increase spec position and drive Vertiv ™ Unify sales growth. RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and define scalable, robust and secure architecture for PLC-based control and power/thermal monitoring systems.
Collaborate with Software and Controls sales team.
Provide large project specification CDE review & completion.
Evaluate and select the appropriate software frameworks, tools and technologies to align with the company's product roadmap and customer requirements.
Serve as a technical mentor to the software development team, providing guidance on architecture, coding standards and best practices.
Work closely with Vertiv engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of software with power, thermal and prefab systems.
Oversee the integration of PLCs, HMIs, Gateways and SCADA systems with power and thermal monitoring hardware.
Establish frameworks for system validation, testing and compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, UL).
Drive innovation by staying up to date with emerging trends in industrial automation, IoT and power systems.
Identify opportunities to optimize performance, scalability and efficiency of existing systems.
Create general industry awareness through attendance at industry events.
Educate Vertiv selling entities on application focused system architectures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree with emphasis in Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
10-12 years of experience in the data center industry.
Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, OPC UA).
Experience with EPMS/BMS/ SCADA systems, HMI development and power metering technologies.
Demonstrated ability to design and deploy large-scale, mission-critical control systems.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
Strong technical sales acumen, with experience in customer-facing roles and solution selling.
Must be resourceful, self-motivated, customer focused, able to work on a team and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to drive strategic conversations with CIOs, CTOs and data center operations teams.
Experience working with channel partners, resellers and integrators.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the California locality is between $165,376 to $206,778 per year-salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Director Software Development Engineering
What you will do
Let's do this. Let's change the world. In this vital role you will play a pivotal role in internal software development at Amgen India. This role is critical in driving the strategy, development, and implementation of software solutions on the global commercial side. You will be responsible for setting strategic direction, clearly defining operations, delivering reusable software solutions for business and engineering teams, and ensuring the successful adoption of internal platforms across Amgen. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers, product managers, and architects to deliver software applications that enhance our products and services.
Roles & Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this key leadership position will include but are not limited to the following:
Develop strategic vision for software platform services in alignment with the company's overall strategy.
Provide support to the Amgen Technology Executive Leadership and oversee the development of a Community of Practice for software Platforms.
Foster a culture of innovation, identify and implement software solutions that drive value to our stakeholders
Ensure the adoption of best practices and latest advancements in technologies across functions and business.
Drive the design, development and deployment of scalable software platforms and reusable accelerators that enable and increase the value of application and product teams across the enterprise.
Ensure the security, reliability of software platforms and seamless integration with existing systems.
Drive the software platform capabilities implementation, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
Collaborate with cross functional teams to understand demand and develop solutions to meet business needs.
Develop and enforce governance frameworks to manage the usage and adoption of software platforms.
Lead and mentor a team of Engineers and Architects and foster a culture of continuous development and learning.
Monitor team performance and present updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 4 years of full stack software engineering, cloud computing or Software Development experience
Or
Master's degree and 7 years of full stack software engineering, cloud computing or Software Development experience

Bachelor's degree and 9 years of full stack software engineering, cloud computing or Software Development experience

8-10 years of experience in full stack software engineering, cloud computing with a robust blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking and leadership abilities focusing on software development.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale technology projects and teams with a track record of delivering innovative and impactful solutions.
Hands on experience with latest framework and libraries, such as LangChain, llamaindex, Agentic framework, vector DB, LLM, Experienced with CICD DevOps/MLOps.
Hands on experience with cloud computing services, such as AWS Lambda, container technology, SQL, NoSQL databases, API Gateway, SageMaker, Bedrock, etc.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Proficient in Python, JavaScript, SQL; Hands on experience with full stack software development, NoSQL database, docker container, container orchestration system, automated testing, and CICD DevOps
Build a high performing team of software development experts, foster a culture of innovation, and ensure employee growth and satisfaction to drive long-term organizational success
Identify opportunities for process improvements and drive initiatives to enhance the efficiency of the development lifecycle.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
