The Employee Experience (EX) team is searching for an
EPIC Software Trainer
for Saint Joseph's Hospital located in Nashua, NH!

The Trainer is responsible for conducting training for the end users on the assigned EPIC application(s). The incumbent will experience the variety of non-clinical and clinical users, while training in classrooms, areas of practice, and virtually. Responsibilities include achieving an in-depth knowledge of specific EPIC applications, policies, procedures, and related workflows.

This position is a member of the EPIC Project Team, a team that actively engages and participates in discussions regarding building, testing, and maintaining the training environment, as well as the development and maintenance of training materials. This position will also support the Enterprise Project Team in technological competency assessments across Covenant. In addition to training end-users within the facility, at the direction of Training Leadership, the EPIC Software Trainer will train additional trainers within the organization, maintain policy/procedure documentation, provide training for new hires, and conduct training for new software releases and updates.

The EPIC Software Trainer will support the alignment of application training activities with transformation objectives. As an ambassador of change, the incumbent will identify end users that need specific support to adopt the use of new EPIC applications for greater efficiency and workflow, and ultimately making a positive impact on patient care.

This position offers travel to other Covenant Health locations on a consistent basis for training and meeting purposes.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Assists with the development of detailed curriculum content and training plans for designated area(s) Assists with coordinating appropriate level of end-user training Conducting training for specific application area(s) for all end-users Assisting in technology competency assessments Assisting with scenario-based training Completing project tasks within the timeline as assigned Providing end-user feedback to colleagues and identifying improvement strategies for system design and implementation Interacting as necessary with vendor training personnel Escalating complex issues to appropriate entities for resolution Working closely with Enterprise and local system teams Assisting with coordination of local Credentialed Trainers and Super Users Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college Experience in EPIC installations preferred Experience developing and conducting training in an adult education environment Experience with EMR or enterprise software implementations; specifically with the training of staff Strong presentation skills and an ability to adapt training style based on end user population Computer savvy, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, internet, and other systems

  • Four-year degree or an Associate's degree (preferred major in education, training or related field but not required); education requirement may be waived for four (4) years of relevant in education/training.
  • Two years of experience providing training, preferably in an adult learning setting.

  • Must be able to work in a demanding production oriented position.
  • Must have strong communication skills.
  • Eligibilityrequirements for this position include successful completion of a well-developed training course on four major proprietary systems in order to meet internal certification requirements within 120 days of receiving their equipment.
