Who you are:
We're looking for a mid-level content designer to cover content for the Hometap Investment - our flagship financial product that helps homeowners access their hard-earned equity without selling or taking on monthly payments.
You should be invigorated by untangling complex financial concepts, creating out-of-the-box design solutions, writing clear product copy, and making homeownership more accessible. You should also have a proven track record of delivering compelling and intuitive user experiences through effective content, preferably within a regulated environment.

What you'll do:
At Hometap, we believe that content designers are designers, and words are just the tip of the iceberg. In this role, you'll craft useful, clear, and concise product content - and perhaps more importantly, be a strategic partner to product designers, product managers, engineers, and marketers. As our second-ever content designer, you'll also play a key role in shaping our content design standards and processes.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Craft content for the Hometap Investment application and final process, plus the occasional document or product email
Partner closely with product designers throughout the design process - identifying customer pain points through research, sharing design directions with stakeholders, and polishing microcopy in Figma for developer handoff
Create content solutions that drives business goals while balancing team resources, regulatory requirements, product scalability, and user experience best practices
Improve existing experiences through UX, IA, and microcopy recommendations
Use systems thinking to ensure content complements marketing, customer experience, and sales processes
Adhere to, and help evolve, Hometap's content standards and processes
What you bring:
3-5 years of professional experience crafting user-centric content at a software company (likely as a content designer, UX writer, or UX content strategist)
Exceptional command of the English language and familiarity with the AP Stylebook
A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies
Ability to align stakeholders by communicating the why and how behind your decisions
Comfort giving and receiving feedback from stakeholders and other designers
Basic Figma proficiency (You

Prepare construction documents including plan and profile drawings for overhead and underground electric distribution, fiber optic, and telecommunications facilities
Prepare make-ready work for joint use projects
Assist in the preparation of engineering/project cost estimates and execution schedules
Provide field support during construction
Provide quality reviews of work prepared by others and adhere to the QA/QC process
Evaluate loading of various equipment components being installed such as transformers and structural loading of poles to ensure a cost-effective, safe and reliable design utilizing client specifications.

This Opportunity

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the design and production of a variety of projects per season, which include books, kits, non-book, and packaging designs, working closely with the Art Director and senior staff. 1. Create print-ready files that follow the printer's specifications and templates provided.
3. Provide 2D and 3D illustrations, as well as product mock-up designs with dimensions provided, for proposed projects in Stationery and School Supplies.
4. With guidance from the Associate Art Director, hire and art direct freelance designers on projects managed internally, and successfully guide them from beginning templates through photo licensing and pre-flighting files.
5. Create design schedules for assigned projects and participate in weekly production meetings with the larger team, as well as smaller weekly staff meetings to surface opportunities, problem solve, and ensure projects meet expectations and due dates.

You will also learn to create & modify both general as well as project specific Design Rules and resolve DRC errors.
Prepare and present PCB designs for technical review in compliance with Milwaukee Design Processes.
Generate PCB document packages in compliance with Milwaukee standards.
Work closely with PCB vendors to source prototypes from our design files (either 1-up or panelized) if required.
Participate in component library maintenance including creation of component footprints, generation of schematic symbols, 3D models and entry of new parts in the Electronics CAD (ECAD) library.
Complete ECAD/MCAD file transfer & work with members of the mechanical design team to achieve excellence in system design and quality.
Complete selected IPC or other training to enhance your knowledge & design skillset.
Commit to successful completion of CID training
What TOOLS you'll bring with you:
Associate Degree in a technical discipline.
2+ years of applicable experience in PCBA design and assembly.
Experience in the use of professional level PCB CAD tools used for high volume PCB design, preferably Altium.
Basic understanding of electronics.
Highly detailed oriented, organized, and able to work in a team environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft business software.
Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
