Maintenance & Repairs: Support the maintenance and repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, including replacing components and making necessary adjustments to ensure systems operate efficiently. Assist in diagnosing and repairing system malfunctions, under the guidance of senior technicians, ensuring systems are restored to full functionality. Documentation & Reporting: Complete inspection reports, detailing system status, deficiencies, and any corrective actions taken. Maintain accurate records of all inspections, tests, maintenance activities, and repairs, ensuring documentation meets industry standards and company policies. Training & Development: Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills in fire protection systems, including manufacturer-specific training and certification courses. Shadow senior technicians during complex inspections and repairs to gain practical experience and knowledge. Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for oneself and others. Ensure all work complies with applicable fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards. Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical installation, low voltage, and repair. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications. Proficiency with basic hand and power tools. High School Diploma or GED required. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to effectively diagnose and resolve technical issues. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to climb ladders, use lifts, and work at various heights. Able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as needed. Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching throughout the workday. Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.
