WORK SCHEDULE

This is a full-time position with a typical working schedule of Monday - Thursday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Friday, 7:00 am - 2:00 pm.

Position Summary:

Semper Solaris is looking for motivated Journeyman for our San Diego location. Under the general direction of the Construction Manager, the Journeyman Electrician performs a wide variety of operations duties. The ideal candidate will be motivated, dedicated, and a team player. In addition, the ideal candidate will have high attention to detail and a genuine care to his/her work craft.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

+ Service electrical systems that interconnect our solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential property

+ Work with the Operations Manager and home owners to fulfill any necessary service panel upgrades to support our solar equipment

+ Remove and replace service panel from wall under disconnect/reconnect time constraints from power companies

+ Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

+ Manage all on-site installation, repair, maintenance and test tasks

+ Diagnose electrical errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions

+ Prepare materials for projects

Requirements:

+ Must have a minimum 3 years' experience performing residential service panel upgrades or related tasks

+ Must have a valid state driver's license and clean driving record

+ CA DIR Journeyman certified required

+ Knowledge of solar industry and NEC code

+ Ability to work independently and with minimal direction/oversight

+ Strong attention to detail a must

+ Good problem-solving skills

+ Ability to prioritize work and work under sensitive time restraints

+ Exceptional customer service and verbal communication skills

Physical Requirements:

+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards

+ Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time

+ Must be able to talk, listen, and speak clearly on telephone

+ Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
