Videos Duties Installs, modifies connects, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs overhead and underground primary electrical distribution systems and street lighting equipment. Works alone on hot wires not to exceed 480 volts and as required, higher voltage if under immediate qualified supervision. Installs, modifies, repairs, troubleshoots (traces and locates defects), loads, and tests new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems fixtures, controls and equipment. Determines, installs and repairs building wiring, switches, relay boxes, circuit breakers, etc., in the size, type and arrangement needed for proper and safe operation. Locates and diagnosis trouble and determines extent of repairs necessary; plans and lays-out the routing, placement, type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity and proper safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems equipment and controls.
