This is a 9‑month, grant‑funded contract aligned with the academic year, typically August through May; the contract is inactive during the summer. The ideal candidate has training in education and career guidance for high school‑aged students and experience advising teens on career pathways. An understanding of Kenai Peninsula workforce needs and the ability to communicate effectively with students and guardians are essential, along with strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and web applications. Preference will be given to candidates familiar with KPC's CTE course offerings and with UA systems such as UAOnline, Banner, and Navigate360, as well as Alaska‑specific tools including AKCIS and Career Coach. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Applicant must possess an unrestricted Alaska driver's license or be able to obtain one within 60 days of accepting the job. In addition, the applicant must meet UAA's safe driving criteria. Position Details: This position is located on the Kenai Peninsula campus in Soldotna. This is a part-time 30-hour per week, 9-month term, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 78, starting at $25.55 per hour, based on education and experience.
