Summary
Solidarity Center seeks an experienced Director / Assistant Director of Resource Development to play a critical role in building the future of the organization. The individual who is selected for this role will lead the Solidarity Center's efforts in private fundraising, with primary responsibility for meeting its private fundraising goals. These efforts will help secure the funding that is essential for grassroots labor movements to build power around the world.
This position will shape an organization-wide private fundraising program to raise unrestricted and restricted funds from individual donors, private foundations, and other relevant philanthropic entities to advance the Solidarity Center's mission. In partnership with the Executive Director and designated program directors, the Resource Development Director / Assistant Director will develop and execute campaign and fundraising strategies for the Solidarity Center. A main goal of this position is to build an organization-wide approach to private fundraising and diversify revenue streams.
The Director / Assistant Director of Resource Development will ensure that Solidarity Center's private fundraising efforts are aligned with the organization's mission and strategy; therefore a social justice orientation and a strong belief in the power of labor movements to transform societies is critical for success.
The Director / Assistant Director of Resource Development will collaborate with program teams to develop strategies that generate new funding from private sources to support Solidarity Center's work. This position will provide strategic coaching and guidance to program staff on foundation proposals, budgets, reports and other interactions with private donors to ensure that programs are effectively articulated and aligned with Solidarity Center's strategy and goals for diversified funding. In addition, the Director / Assistant Director of Resource Development will be tasked with expanding staff knowledge and capacity around fundraising. An important aspect of this responsibility will be developing and/or introducing information, tools, and resources relevant to raising funds from private sources.
The Director / Assistant Director of Resource Development, in conjunction with the Executive Director, represents Solidarity Center with private donors in the U.S. and abroad and serves as the organization's spokesperson and point of contact on matters of fundraising. This includes speaking at donor conferences and meeting with foundation staff and high net-worth individuals.
This position will report directly to the Executive Director, working across departments to achieve Solidarity Center's private fundraising goals. While the position has no direct reports at this time, as revenue streams are further developed, additional staff will be considered. The decision of whether to hire at a Director of Assistant Director level will be based on the applicant's qualifications and level of experience.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated success creating and meeting fundraising goals and budgets
Experience developing, executing, and leading fundraising campaigns
Demonstrated history and successful track record of personally identifying, cultivating, and soliciting individual donors and foundations
Ability to operate independently, with excellent decision-making skills, sound judgement, a strong sense of initiative, and high self-motivation
Ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines in the absence of direct supervision
Demonstrated flexibility and openness in responding to changing work priorities
Experience building partnerships with major donors, including coordinating executive outreach, ensuring appropriate follow-up, and managing cultivation calendars and scheduling
Experience designing and delivering training that is engaging and inspiring
Experience conducting research on foundations and individual donors; fundraising database experience preferred
Experience drafting, reviewing, and/or advancing high quality fundraising proposals
A strong commitment to the Solidarity Center's mission; previous experience in trade unions is highly desirable
Exceptional writing and public speaking skills, with the ability to craft successful development outreach materials and to communicate a compelling vision of our work
Ability to lead and build support among partners and peers
Advanced expertise in nonprofit fundraising and development, including demonstrated knowledge of national philanthropic communities, with ten years of directly relevant professional experience
Extensive knowledge of international relations and of socio-economic and political developments in the U.S. and abroad
Familiarity with non-US government fundraising opportunities
Proficiency in Microsoft products. Experience with donor management software and philanthropic research tools
Strong attention to detail
Fluency in a foreign language (desirable but not required)
Specific Duties:
Immediate priority to develop a comprehensive strategy to meet initial fundraising goal, as well as 3-5 year projections with outlined strategies to achieve
Set strategy for new revenue streams, including private philanthropy, individual donors and other relevant philanthropic entities
Set fundraising priorities with the Executive Team
Provide senior-level strategy and thought partnership
Drive the overall fundraising program
Serve as external relationships manager for all development relationships
Lead coordination of fundraising activities and systems cross-functionally between development and other SC teams
Provide overall project management
Provide coaching support for staff around all aspects of fundraising
Develop and implement donor communications/engagement opportunities
Develop fundraising messaging and materials, in coordination with Communications staff and program plans
Identify prospects, oversee vetting process, and build prospect pipeline
Manage stewardship of donors and prospects
Work with staff to draft concept notes, proposals and reports; review and provide final approval for submission
Focus on immediate fundraising needs
Develop systems to support new revenue streams
Expand the development team as resources are available and supervise its staff
Manage the volunteer staff Resource Development Committee
Support the Executive Director with all aspects of their fundraising activities and responsibilities
Develop and prepare materials for Board of Trustee meetings and monitor fundraising progress against goals
Provide regular reports to the Executive Team
Advise the Director of Finance on donor compliance strategies and methods, including the review of bylaws and other founding documents
Ensure that all development policies and procedures are consistent with established organizational policies and that they satisfy compliance requirements and related audit standards
Work cross-departmentally with relevant staff to prepare budgets and financial reports
Facilitate a “team approach” to fundraising and foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization
Advise regional and thematic departments on identifying organizational and project-specific funding opportunities and ensure that fundraising aligns with relevant Solidarity Center standards and best practices
Develop and maintain a donor tracking and engagement system in compliance with IRS regulation.
Ensure that established systems are followed for donor acknowledgement, recordkeeping, and recognition
Oversee strategy for donor database and tracking of donors in other organization data management systems
Perform other related duties as assigned

This is a management role, generously compensated with a gross annual salary of approximately $169,000 - $181,000 USD, based on experience. The Opportunity
ERA is looking for an Attorney/Counsel with proven litigation experience in employment law and in the civil rights space. As a Senior Counsel or Senior Staff Attorney, you will be responsible for engaging in all aspects of impact and individual litigation, developing new cases for litigation, assisting in crafting litigation strategy, drafting and reviewing amicus briefs, and developing and maintaining litigation relationships to advance ERA's mission. You may also be involved in defending against threats to the civil rights of workers and students. The Senior Counsel or Senior Staff Attorney will report to ERA's Director of Litigation.
Primary Responsibilities
Conduct cutting-edge impact and individual litigation, including legal research; investigating facts, working with clients; drafting pleadings, briefs and legal memoranda; engaging in discovery and motion practice; and conducting evidentiary hearings and oral arguments in court.
Identify and develop new matters for litigation by conducting factual, legal and strategic analyses and formulating relevant theories and materials.
Draft amicus briefs and review amicus briefs drafted by others for possible ERA involvement.
Develop collaborative partnerships with other advocacy groups, legal services providers, plaintiffs' attorneys, law firms, and other partners by participating in task forces and coalitions, attending conferences, and co-counseling lawsuits.
Provide legal and strategy analysis, technical assistance, and thought leadership on substantive issues related to ERA's mission to attorneys, government agencies, officials and staff, the media, worker and student organizations, and grassroots advocates when called upon by ERA leadership, departments, and programs.
Assist in supervision of law student interns and provide occasional assistance to attorney fellow, as needed.
Review public-facing legal training materials, resources, self-help tools, and “Know Your Rights” materials.
Work closely with ERA's legal and non-legal program staff to develop and implement communication strategies that promote and magnify the impact of ERA's legal work.
Assist ERA's development team in drafting applications or reporting on grants that support the organization's legal work, as needed.
Occasional travel, as needed, for litigation, meetings, conferences, and other advocacy or professional development activities.
Engage in special projects and other duties as assigned by ERA supervisory staff.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications:
J.D. and at least one active bar membership;
A minimum of four (4) years of post-J.D. litigation experience, including drafting case documents and engaging in discovery and motions practice, including at least 3 years of experience litigating employment discrimination cases;
Demonstrated commitment to social, gender, and racial justice with a passion for achieving equity and economic justice for women, girls, and/or LGBTQI+ people;
Outstanding research, writing, and analytical skills;
Proven ability to work independently as well as within a team;
Excellent verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to give and receive feedback and resolve conflicts constructively;
Ability to travel to ERA's headquarters in San Francisco three or four times per year, if working remotely, and to travel occasionally as needed for litigation, meetings or conferences.
The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of the following professional and personal skills and attributes:
Experience engaging in legal advocacy on subjects related to ERA's mission, such as defending and expanding employment and education-related civil rights, protecting and advancing women's economic security, racial justice or immigrant rights, and/or combating gender-based violence;
Experience collaborating with progressive nonprofit organizations and/or plaintiff-side employment lawyers;
Experience working directly with clients from diverse backgrounds and populations, including communities of color, low-wage workers, immigrants, and/or LGBTQI+ individuals;
A high degree of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines under time pressure;
Experience working on a team and setting and fostering a collaborative approach to case work and other advocacy efforts;
Experience with policy advocacy and/or communications work related to litigation preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
This position has a salary range of $85,000 - $125,000. The salary and job title (Senior Staff Attorney vs. Senior Counsel) will be determined based on years of experience and expertise.

For attorneys located in the Bay Area in California, the position is a hybrid position, requiring 2 days per week in the San Francisco office. The general counsel serves as the principal legal advisor and steward of programmatic and organizational legal issues. About the Job:
The MDS Coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing the MDS/RAI process in coordination with the RAI/PPS Coordinator. This position assures compliance with all State and Federal MDS transmission requirements. The MDS Nurse is responsible for collaborating with Clinical and Administrative staff regarding issues relative to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process.

Works within coordination of RAI/PPS Coordinator for scheduling and proper coding of all new admission and PPS assessments.

Consults with IDT members for pertinent clinical information as needed. Utilize direct interview/observation skills, chart audits, resident/family interviews and communication with direct care staff when completing assessments.
Works with Interdisciplinary team to determine resident significant change in status and OMRA assessments.
Completes Nursing Sections of MDS per facility policy and ensures completion of assigned sections by other disciplines.
Follows and updates facility MDS schedule and tracking forms per policy and procedure.
Follow facility policy and procedure on Resident Care Planning.
Ensure that care plans accurately reflect the cares and clinical monitoring provided.
Audits completion and review of completed MDS assessments randomly on each floor monthly.

Coral Reef Resilience Project in the Western Pacific:

The major function of the Coordinator is to provide overall administrative support to reinforce the smooth functioning of the Earth for Life (EFL) team. The Coordinator role is responsible for performing a variety of both standard and complex administrative duties, contract functions and accounting tasks and providing support to high priority projects and general office needs using administrative skills, organizational skills, and detailed knowledge of the organization and its programs and policies. The position is a critical one as the Coordinator will support the implementation of a number of high profile, fast-moving and complex projects. They include projects worth over $100M, whose support includes the need for considerable skill, adaptability, problem-solving, independent decision-making, initiative and attention to detail.

Position:
The Clinical Mental Health Intern is responsible for supporting the development, coordination and implementation of programs and activities of the Mental Health program of Generation Hope, including various mental-health related workshops and groups at program events, which may require select weekend hours. The Mental Health Intern works under the supervision of the Senior Mental Health Manager. Intern applicants must be in graduate-level Clinical Mental Health, School Counseling, and Marriage and Family Therapy programs. Clinical Supervision from a licensed professional will be provided on staff. During the internship, the Mental Health Intern will have the opportunity to design and implement a project of their choosing, which could range from creating new mental health resources for Scholars to designing elements of programs, etc.
Clinical Mental Health Interns will work a flexible schedule. Generation Hope operates on a hybrid schedule; with two days in the office per week. The Mental Health Intern will need to have transportation to be able to meet with Scholars and participate in mental health events. Candidates must be able to participate in this internship at least 15 hours weekly; candidates who have later afternoon and evening availability are preferred. Start and end dates are flexible; ideal candidates will be available August 2025 - July 2026 and are also able to commit to the internship for their Practicum, Internship I and II semesters.
Duties
Provide supervised direct services to Generation Hope Scholars (and/or Alumni) and their families in accordance with their psychological needs, developmental abilities, and individualized treatment plans; including individual sessions, family sessions, couples sessions, group sessions and psychoeducation workshops.
Maintain proper SOAP notes for each session and complete other clinical documentation such as case conceptualizations, treatment plans, biopsychosocial intakes, and assessments/screenings
Assist in facilitating the non-crisis mental health text line for Generation Hope Scholars
Appropriately track indirect and direct hours on a consistent basis
Engage in outreach initiatives, connecting Generation Hope's Mental Health program with other mental health resources in the DC metro area
Research and network with mental health community resources
Create media content materials for wellness newsletter, etc.
Send out email blasts and mass text messages about mental health programming to Generation Hope Scholars
Create mental health social media content
Assist Senior Mental Health Manager in facilitating mental health focused workshops
Attend all weekly staff meetings, team meetings, and group supervision when appropriate
Assist Senior Mental Health Manager in organizing current mental health information
Assist Senior Mental Health Manager in creating psychoeducation presentations and therapy workbooks/packets
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human services or related field from an accredited college or university; pursuing a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling or associated field.
Meeting the practicum/internship requirements for a master's degree in professional counseling from an accredited and approved college or university.
Personal and professional commitment to understanding and dismantling systemic and institutional racism
Willingness to adjust hours to accommodate the needs and schedules of Scholars
Strong interest in young adult, child and family counseling
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs, Google Suites, and Canva (preferred)
