The Mammographer is responsible for producing good quality exams in a timely manner while practicing good patient care and maintaining accurate patient records. The position assures the Mammography program meets all FDA Mammography Quality Standards Act and American College of Radiology requirements and standards. Responsibilities And Duties: 75% Conducts Mammograms; Escorts patient to the room, completes proper documentation, and explains procedure to patient prior to mammogram procedure. Takes images for interpretation. Verifies images are of good technical quality. 15% Assists radiologist with stereotactic biopsy and needle localizations to include: machine calibration, sterile field set-up, explaining procedure to patient, offering consolation and ensuring comfort to the patient during procedure. 10% Performs quality control and assurance practices. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Technician specialized in Radiology and Cardiology to join our dynamic healthcare team. Required Skills: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in X-ray imaging Proficiency with GE and Siemens imaging equipment Knowledge of PACS systems and portable imaging techniques Strong charting skills using EPIC system Current BLS and ARRT certifications Experience with EPIC electronic health records Ability to work on-call and adhere to weekend rotation schedule Excellent communication and patient care skills Nice to Have Skills: Additional experience with cardiology imaging procedures Familiarity with advanced imaging modalities and cross-training in related departments Prior experience working with diverse patient populations Preferred Education and Experience: Certification in radiologic technology (ARRT) At least one year of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting Exposure to cardiac imaging procedures preferred Other Requirements: Availability to work the shift from 12:30 PM to 11:00 PM, four days a week Commitment to working every third weekend EPIC experience is mandatory Must be able to handle on-call responsibilities This position offers an hourly pay rate of $57.87.
