Summary: This position independently performs requested ultrasound examinations, searching for any possible pathology as indicated by the patient's symptoms/medical history and/or results from previous testing. He/She reviews and discusses the ultrasound findings with the radiologist and a diagnosis is made. Responsibilities And Duties: 60% Performs various ultrasound examinations. Subjectively interprets information based on judgmental decisions by Ultrasonographers, requiring in-depth knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology. Cardiovascular Sonographer is responsible for performing Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation. Functions within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of the organization.
