Primary Duties:
Performs Ultrasound examinations in department or at bedside to include chest, abdomen, pelvis, small parts, carotids, neonatal heads, OB/GYN, trans-vaginal, and the prostate in accordance with prescribed protocols utilizing identified scanner and in accordance with policies on Universal Precautions, safety, and waste disposal. Adheres to the policies and procedures that apply to the performance of obtaining ultrasound studies, including performing correct, exam, including laterality, on correct patient at the time requested.
Reports initial impressions to the Radiologist and review the images before releasing the patient. Ensures timely completion of all exams through tracking, scanning and other technical workflow as related to Radiology Information System (RIS), Enterprise Radiology Solutions (ERS) and Enterprise Electronic Record (EMR).
Provides basic information to patients and/or families concerning procedures to be performed and can answer questions if asked. Coordinates patient flow on assigned unit to maximize productivity. Ensures that patient waiting times are minimized before, during and after the procedure. Coordinates, communicates, and collaborates with Patient Financial Associates that register radiology exams to minimize delays and potential safety issues for the outpatient population.
Prepares exam rooms at the beginning of each shift and between assigned cases. Coordinates and collaborates with Technical Aides to ensure efficient room turnover. Assists with the upkeep of ultrasound equipment, adheres to all related safety requirements, and reports any need for equipment repairs. Cleans equipment and work area, wipes down assigned equipment between cases, and stocks and maintains supplies at identified inventory levels.
Assists the technical supervisor in the revision, development and implementation of lab policies, in-service programs and continuing educational programs that enhance the individual technologist's performance and skills.
Qualifications:
Must have completed training in an approved Ultrasound program.
As part of their education, candidates must also demonstrate competency in didactic coursework and an ARRT-specified list of clinical procedures by completing competency requirements established for the discipline in which they are seeking certification and registration.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Assumes clinical and administrative supervision of nursing and patient care services for multiple units/departments or hospital/entity. Consults advises or informs nursing providers and other leaders concerning issues that arise and their resolution as appropriate unit needs and/or problems during the shift worked. Escalates concerns applying the chain of command.
Consults and communicates with nursing and hospital administration as well as senior medical staff and other Nurse Leaders concerning any operational issues or matters pertaining to staffing and the management of assigned areas. Functions as liaison between patient care administration and medical staff.
Creates a professional atmosphere and an environment of coaching and development that supports shared/collaborative governance. Monitors high risk patients and complicated conditions and institutes appropriate actions. Ensures compliance with unit divisional and hospital policies procedures as well as regulatory and accreditation standards. Prepares written documentation as required. Maintains required reports records statistics and notes.
Receives and reviews preceding shift reports and notes patients' conditions when rounding on units. Coordinates department wide staffing patterns to meet safe and efficient staffing levels for each unit. Adjusts staffing to meet patient care needs and to provide adequate and fiscally responsible coverage of all units. Assists Nurse Leaders with unit/departmental staffing through coordination of float pool agency and per diem personnel.
Supervises coordinates and evaluates patient care services interventions during assigned shift. Intervenes where necessary to assure optimal patient care outcomes by utilizing approaches and strategies that support and optimize outcomes. Takes action to support the National Patient Safety Goals nursing sensitive indicators regulatory requirements and other identified quality metrics.

As a CT Technologist, you will operate diagnostic equipment to produce computerized axial tomographic scan (CT) images of internal organs for use by professional personnel. Primary Duties:
Prepares patients for scan. Reviews patient records for orders, exam history, lab work, and allergies, and positions patients on the scan table. Establishes I.V. site for contrast infusion and administers oral, rectal and I.V. contrasts. Consults with Radiologist prior to administering I.V. contrast for bolus I.V. injections. Monitors patients during injection for evidence of contrast reaction.
Enters patient and exam data into x-ray computer system and performs computed scan images. Prepares reports and maintains records of service rendered, using the radiology department computer system to verify billing and quality assurance. Completes incident reports and anesthesia records when necessary. Reports all technical problems to the supervisor or senior technologist.
Assists Radiologist with interventional procedures such as biopsies and drainages. Informs Radiologist of scan results when anomalies or abnormalities are visible. Schedules patient exams and revises daily schedules to accommodate emergency exams from MedSTAR, ER, and other units.
Cleans and maintains an aseptic working environment for each patient. Films CT scan images and archive exams onto tape or optical disk. Ensures adequate supplies are available and is responsible for replenishing supply levels.
Assists in the training and orientation of new employees and students. Completes all required information system functions to assure proper patient information, billing, exam, and other necessary functions are correctly entered and maintained.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or one to three years formal training in Radiologic Technology.
Completed competency-based training in CT.
1-2 years job related experience.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) registration.
