    The Solution Architect (SA) role is a pre-sales technical position in Alibaba Cloud's international business division. Our seasoned solution architects offer comprehensive IT knowledge and industry insights when crafting solutions for customers and partners. Solution Architects are ultimately responsible for architecting solutions that enable customer and partner success. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Working closely with customers and partners to ensure successful solution delivery of Alibaba Cloud services • As a cloud solution architect, evangelizing and helping customers and partners understand the technical and business benefits of Alibaba Cloud products, solutions, and services • Understanding the unique requirements of customers and partners, and providing appropriate technical solutions and architecture designs based on Alibaba Cloud technologies, solutions, and services • Responsible for demo development and testing Alibaba Cloud services when necessary • Assisting customers and partners to migrate their existing IT systems onto Alibaba Cloud • Guiding large enterprise implementation • Output market insight analysis report of segmented fields based on demand information such as market development trends, market space, core scenarios, and pain points in the segmented fields. • Collect competitive information, and give differentiated competitive solutions through the analysis of strategies and scenarios of competing pairs in competitive projects • Produce targeted solutions according to customer needs, in the project, develop correct product selection strategy, POC test strike strategy, bidding & bid strategies, product configuration strategy, etc., achieve contract signing, and continuously ensure the increase of Alibaba Cloud's market share in this customer. • Promote the incubation and replication of public cloud solutions in segmented fields. • Identify and deal with risks of the technology and project during the solution landing process on time, collaborate with the product and delivery teams for normal fulfillment, and achieve revenue conversion. • Accumulate knowledge documentation such as universal cloud architecture templates, best practices, and cases for the segmented fields/scenarios. • Provide presentations, evangelism, and empowerment training for sales teams and eco-partners. • Abstract and summarize product requirements and defects in segmented fields, promote product improvement, new product projects, and major functions launch, and enhance product competitiveness. Requirements: •Bachelor's Degree (B.S./B.A.) in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. •Years Experience: 5+, primarily in a client-facing role, with strong technical background: cloud, cloud-native, big data, vertical-based digital transformation, etc. •Familiarity with at least one of the major public cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). •Strong technical background, the working experience should involve technical consulting, development, and deployment •Hands-on experience in Cloud Native architecture: Container, Kubernetes, DevOps. •experience working with popular PaaS, SaaS solutions, such as ERP, CRM and SCM Systems is a bonus. •Good communication skills, a team player, and a professional attitude to work. •Able to work under high pressure, a quick learner with a passion for cloud technology. Able to think strategically about businesses, products, and technical challenges. •Fluent in written and spoken English is a must, and Mandarin Chinese is a plus. •Be fully mobile, visiting our clients for meetings and workshops. Travel requirement: 20% - 40% travel. The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $132,000/year and $216,000/year. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
