What You'll Do
Architect End-to-End Solutions: Design scalable, resilient, and secure systems supporting Digital Product Creation, Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP), Assortment Planning, Buy Planning, and Allocation.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business, product, and engineering teams to align solution architectures with strategic objectives.

Pre-Sales & Vendor Engagement: Support RFIs, RFPs, and vendor evaluations by articulating architectural strategies and solution benefits.
Who You Are
8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in solution or enterprise architecture.
Deep knowledge of retail planning workflows including preseason planning, in-season management, open-to-buy, and store clustering.
Proven expertise in designing distributed systems using Domain-Driven Design (DDD), event-driven architecture, and technologies such as Java, Spring Boot, RDBMS, and document databases.
Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or GCP.
Solid understanding of integration protocols and architectures (REST, GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred:
Experience with data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.
Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tooling (CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code).
Knowledge of AI/ML applications in retail forecasting, inventory optimization, or personalization.

🎯 The Role - Lead Architect
We're hiring an architect/lead designer to help us scale. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to do the work-drawing, detailing, coordinating, iterating-and who's ready to jump into a small, fast-moving team.
You'll play a central role in both active project delivery and Cloud's broader architectural product strategy. That means producing drawing sets, iterating on templates, translating site and code constraints into modular solutions, and managing consultant coordination and client relationships through permitting and construction. You'll be supporting not just design and documentation, but also business development, operations, and productization. We're flexible on structure (this can start part-time or contract), but we're looking for someone who's excited to grow with us over the long term.
What you'll do:
Oversee design development from early feasibility to construction documentation
Own drawing production in Revit for conceptual studies, permits, and factory coordination. This includes creating and implementing design and drawing standards like standard details and drawing templates.
Translate zoning, site, and code conditions into modular-appropriate solutions
Oversee design development from early feasibility to construction documentation
Manage consultant coordination across architecture, structural, MEP, and other trades
Contribute to systematizing design including (but not limited to): unit types, facades, and MEP integrations

Pay Range (Base Pay): $71,000 - $108,000
Other Types of Pay: Based on level and role the employee may be eligible for long term incentives in the form of equity and short term incentives of either bonus or commission.
