BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $213,440.00-$320,160.00 Annual. Description & Requirements Maximus is seeking a IT Principal SolutionArchitect. The candidate will be a Lead for solutionarchitecture and estimation with a focus on business process and technical services domain. The candidate is expected to work across the opportunity lifecycle and own the top-down estimate as a component of prize to win and competitive solutioning efforts including supporting Blackhat reviews. The candidate should have experience with USS (US State) and Federal proposal processes including competitive reviews, estimation, pricing, and compliance. The candidate must have a can-do attitude and be a go-getter when it comes to innovative approaches to solution and estimation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and develop specific solutions leveraging technologies and design practices that enable a scalable, extensible and flexible solution.
- Develop and provide presentations and demonstrations of technology solutions to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Extend and partner with internal/external resources to identify and contribute to continuous improvements of open source projects across multiple open source technologies/projects.
- Engage with internal teams to understand and architect technical solutions, facilitate solutions design and manage implementations.
- Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure solutions can be effectively implemented by operations teams.
- Mentor SolutionArchitects and integrate contributions across the team. Provide guidance, coaching, and training to technical employees across the company.
- Interface with pricing and delivery teams to ensure solution viability and cost realism.
- Lead major solution components or technical volumes as part of a capture team.
- Translate client requirements into viable solution elements and architecture views.
- Lead large complex initiatives of strategic importance to the organization, which involve large cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with business leaders, customers, or other stakeholders to understand priorities and constraints. Facilitate collaboration across organizations and act as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs and design tailored solutions. Build trust and credibility through consistent delivery and transparency.
- Help guide teams through technology transitions. Support training and adoption efforts to ensure successful implementation.
- Review, guide and support RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, response development including writing of whitepapers and concept development.
- Provide technical solution support during proposal process, to include technology stack, solutionarchitecture, and implementation methodology.
Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience required.
- Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 10 years of technical experience in IT including estimation and successful bid development is required.
- Understanding of current state and federal solution space and government initiatives with demonstrated capture, proposal, estimation, and/or bid experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading competitive top-down estimates, BOE development, and driving estimation using techniques such as: Expert Judgement, Comparative/Analogous Estimation, Parametric Estimation, Top-down Estimation, Wideband Delphi, and Three-point Estimation for Managed Services, IT Services, and Software Development opportunities.
- Demonstrated experience with competitive analysis - competitive patterns and pricing approaches, trends in awards (best value vs LPTA).
- Proven experience communicating with non-technical business personnel and ability to interact and work in a team environment.
- Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills to senior management both internal and external including SMEs.
- Ability to articulate and explain high-level architecture and design ideas to larger audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a flexible and fast-paced environment across multiple time zones and locations.
- Review technology solutions to meet applicable opportunity requirements and federal and corporate standards, leveraging best practices that balance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
- Communicate client opportunity specific architecture guidelines and technical details to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Innovate and articulate competitive cutting-edge cloud solutions approaches.
- Stay abreast of leading solutionarchitectures including relevant industry partners (e.g., AWS, MSFT, Google, ServiceNow, Salesforce).
- Participate in opportunity relevant innovation activities by reviewing and generating ideas and collaborating with a diverse, distributed team.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the healthcare managed services, including public health and clinical health.
- Knowledge of the US Federal sector, including competitive reviews, estimation, pricing, and compliance.
- Professional experience should include both project management and solutionarchitecture tasks to include designing, implementing and improving federal business solutions.
- Technical professional experience building scalable enterprise applications with high availability and reliability. Strong technological affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail and the ability to estimate, design, and execute strategic goals.
- Experience supporting Black Hats at the bid level, market/sector analysis and similar capabilities is preferred.
