Vantor is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to lead the design, integration, and evolution of a comprehensive knowledge management platform - one that unifies AI-driven insights, data engineering, ontology development, and core application sustainment. This role bridges AI innovation with enterprise software architecture, ensuring that our solutions remain secure, scalable, and transformative across the mission space.
Responsibilities:
Strategic & Architectural Leadership
· Engage directly with users and senior mission stakeholders to understand analytical, operational, and collaboration challenges.
· Define the overall technical architecture for a knowledge management ecosystem encompassing platform, data, and AI components.

· Lead implementation of retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embedding pipelines, and LLM orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or in-house equivalents).
· Work with data scientists to prototype, evaluate, and deploy AI models tailored to classified and secure settings.
· Establish LLMOps and model governance practices to ensure performance, explainability, and compliance with security and mission standards.
Data & Knowledge Architecture
· Collaborate with data engineering teams to design data pipelines, ETL processes, and metadata management frameworks.
· Lead the development and maintenance of ontologies, taxonomies, and semantic data models that enable cross-domain intelligence sharing and discovery.
· Ensure data interoperability and accessibility across systems, with a focus on data provenance and quality.
Platform Development & Sustainment
· Oversee software engineering efforts for the knowledge management platform, including API integration, user interface design, and system sustainment.
· Coordinate with DevSecOps teams to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and accreditation of systems.
· Support continuous improvement of platform performance, scalability, and usability.
· Mentor engineering teams and foster collaboration across AI, data, and software disciplines.
Stakeholder & Mission Engagement
· Regularly interface with technical and non-technical government stakeholders to communicate architecture decisions, technical trade-offs, and AI impacts.
· Provide expert guidance on the responsible, secure, and mission-aligned adoption of AI technologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
· TS/SCI with current CI polygraph.
· For a mid, have 6 years of experience with relevant experience within the last 2 years and a master's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics, operations research, engineering or equivalent technical fields. Degree may be substituted with an additional 6 years of experience.
· For a senior, have 10 years of experience with relevant experience within the last 2 years & a master's Degree in Computer Science, mathematics, physics, statistics, operations research, engineering, or equivalent technical field. · Proven experience leading complex, multi-component software systems, ideally involving AI/ML, data engineering, and cloud-based architecture.

· Demonstrated success integrating AI within larger enterprise or mission platforms.

Required Skills
Technical Expertise
Strong experience in application architecture and design patterns.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, C++) and frameworks.
Knowledge of authentication systems, cloud platforms, and integration technologies.
Demonstrated expertise in implementing and aligning IT solutions with the Technical Reference Model (TRM) to ensure enterprise architecture compliance and standardization.
Security
Hands-on experience implementing authentication systems in large enterprises.
Familiarity with encryption, MFA, and secure API design.
Leadership & Communication
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technical decisions.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.
Analytical Skills
Capability to assess application portfolios and recommend modernization strategies.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Job Title: Solution Architect - Application Integration
Work Model: 100% Remote (Open to all U.S. time zones; must work EST hours)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (40 hours/week)
Position Summary
The Solution Architect will support the Integration Team by providing hands-on architecture, integration design, and project leadership. This role focuses on advanced integration projects, Proof of Value (PoV) work, and connecting cloud platforms with enterprise ERP systems using MuleSoft and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in integration architecture, iPaaS technologies, and cross-team collaboration within enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Integration
Lead end-to-end coordination between source and target systems across requirements, design, build, testing, and deployment.
Architect high-level and low-level MuleSoft-based API and integration solutions.
Develop and maintain enterprise integration architecture artifacts.
Serve as the primary point of contact for integration architecture within Digital Transformation initiatives.
Ensure solutions align with Corning standards, industry interface standards, and third-party platform requirements.
Identify technology risks, constraints, and innovation opportunities.
Project Collaboration
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, ERP teams, SaaS teams, and functional stakeholders.
Work with global teams and adapt schedules as needed to support international communication.
Assist IT customers and internal development groups in:
Defining infrastructure and deployment requirements
Integrating business platforms into enterprise environments
System development, optimization, and improvements
Assessing impacts of application or system changes
Ensuring adherence to coding standards and conventions
Leadership & Process
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Follow Agile development SOPs and contribute to enhancing internal processes and documentation.
Promote architectural best practices internally and externally (events, meetups, community work).
Proactively recommend enhancements to product quality and team productivity.
Required Education
Associate degree with relevant experience required.
Certifications in SOA, API, or related integration technologies preferred.
Required Experience
5+ years of experience integrating business systems.
3+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft API methodologies and architecture.
Experience with integration between cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and ERP systems (SAP, PeopleSoft).
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft 4.x or higher.
Experience with CI/CD tools and code repository platforms.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
Proven track record of on-time, within-budget project delivery.
Ability to collaborate with global teams across time zones and business areas.
Highly self-motivated, capable of driving solutions independently and in team settings.
Desired Skills
Experience with BizTalk, WSO2, Dell Boomi, or Informatica.
Manufacturing industry experience is a plus.
